I don't get it. What does Fred have that Ron doesn't?

He has said that he doesn't necessarily want to be president, but he feels he has a duty to fix the country that has, I think we all agree, gone to crap with the last two presidencies. He has conservative views, and knowledge of when and where to pick his fights, and I honestly think he's also sick of picking the lesser of two evils for a president. He's got my support the moment he announces.

Ron Paul. None of the others including Fred Thompson (not listed). If Dr. Paul is not the Republican nominee, then I will vote for whomever the Libertarians have on the ballot.

I don't vote for people who consider themselves my master.

They all suck....Its going to come down to a select few that none of us will want, sure we can wish that Paul will win but personally I don't see it happening. Everyone I talk to who isn't pro gun roll their eyes at me when I suggest Paul, the last person I said it to simply looked at me and said "are you kidding?" I wasn't going to argue with her, she thinks Hillary is gods gift to America:banghead:

I can't cast my vote yet...They all suck....

Its going to come down to a select few that none of us will want, sure you can wish that Paul will win but personally I don't see it happening. Everyone I talk to who isn't pro gun scoffs at me when I mention Paul, the last person I said it to simply looked at me and said "are you kidding?" I wasn't going to argue with her, she thinks Hillary is gods gift to America:banghead: The again I wouldn't say that I'm pro Ron Paul, I can't say I'm pro anyone at this point.

Although to be perfectly honest, I don't base my vote just on the candidates position on gun control. There are many other matters that need fixing (Like maybe Iraq?) and just because a someone is pro-gun doesn't mean they would make a decent president. I'm waiting until the last minute before casting my vote, I wanna know who stands the best chance and vote for the least evil one. Face it its going to end badly any way you look at it, I just hope whoever it is can fix all our other national problems and their attention is kept away from gun control.

BTW why isn't Richardson's name on the list, I thought he was the NRA's top pick?

VERY GOOD POST Nwilliams! All the current candidates are pretty poor choices to lead our country.

It's to be expected that people on here would only care about one issue, gun control. That said Ron Paul has some pretty screwed up ideas on other issues. Sorry to say he doesn't have the slightest chance of being the republican nominee.:)

He has said that he doesn't necessarily want to be president, but he feels he has a duty to fix the country that has, I think we all agree, gone to crap with the last two presidencies.
Just the last 2? That's one of the reasons I like Paul, because he'll rip up more of the layers of BS.

Seriously, If I wanted to see "anybody GOP" jump in with a chance to win (and Paul weren't running), it would be somebody like JC Watts. Even as authoritarian as Watts is, I think he'd be easier on the backside of the working guy than Thompson.

Fred if he gets in soon if not I think Duncun Hunter would make a very good choice .

Wow. Ron Paul is kind of owning in this poll. I know that it represents nothing to the naysayers but at least to me, this shows that there are some people out there who love their freedom.

Maybe just Maybe everyone here his screwing with me. And voting for Ron Paul to show how much these polls do not mean anything. The only one that matters is the actual election.

But damn with 150 Votes for Ron Paul so far, are 150 people in on the joke?

Hillary was already in the white house once. Aren't there laws against double jeopardy?

Without Fred Thompson, the poll is non-relevant.

Without Fred Thompson running, putting him in a poll about who you'd vote for is irrelevant. When and if he runs, I think he'll have a great deal of support, until then, it's a non-issue.

I'ts a weak field overall but I'll vote for whomever the GOP nominates. A protest "non-vote", or a Ron Paul write in vote will have the same effect as voting for Clinton/Obama.
