Well THR is coming up on its 1 year Birthday. THANK YOU OLEG!!!!

So whats your favorite discussion tread......
Whats your favorite picture tread................
Whats your favorite SHTF Tread..................
Whats your favorite Poll..............................

THe winner of the tread starter will win NOTHING :)

My favorite discussion thread was the one where an anti (IIRC his first name was James) posted asking why we needed guns and it turned out to be 10 pages long, with tons and tons of people offering to take him out shooting.

Picture thread? Uh, the one I started asking "which rifle gets the most attention at the range?" ;)

SHTF thread? I dunno, they all seem to be just one long episodic thread to me with "Okay now they are mutant zombies and you only get two rifles", "Now they are huge spiders and you can have any shotgun and one other weapon but not a flamethrower", "You need to get food and you have to run around with one hand tied behind your back for the first two days", "Now it's Aliens vs. Predators vs. Terminators and you in the middle in a "Mad Max" environment", etc.

Favorite Poll? Only one I can think of is the one that asks what is an underrated feature when buying handguns. It made people stop and remember that ergonomics is a big deal.

Although this thread went into a direction that was not specifically related to the type of weapons that is our primary interest; i.e., small arms, it gave us a good idea of the breadth and depth of knowledge of many of our friends here at THR. If you pull it up, make sure to at least look at the diagrams and pictures posted throughout.

How about least favorite?

I'm probably one of the few that doesn't like the Which gun would you use? threads? The first couple of these were okay, but now it's just dull and repetitive.

Favorite types of threads are pic threads of people's guns. I enjoy seeing what everyone has.

I think Law Dog is in a category all by himself. Thanks:D
My favorite usually ask the questions like: "What's the biggest lie you heard at a gun shop, the range, on THR or from the government (Oops, that, like Law Dog, the gubmint is in its own category).;)

I think Law Dog is in a category all by himself. Thanks :D

I second that......I've loved Law Dog's stories (I almost said tales) since he first started posting them on TFL.........LawDog rocks. :D

I can't pick a favorite because...

..I'm so happy to be here!
Around this time a year ago, I was one sad guy. "The Firing Line" was going to end and I could envision my "e-friends" slipping through my fingers. It's an understatement to say that it was quite depressing. ~Then, it was Oleg & Company to the rescue. Ta ta DAAAAA!!! :) It surely was MY Christmas wish come true.
I'm very appreciative.

Discussion Thread:

Definitely the one where the anti was asking why we need guns. Very long and lots of good points and offers to share our hobby.

Picture Thread:

The one where people posted pictures of themselves.

SHTF Thread:

They were/are all hillarious!

Poll Thread:

Love 'em all. They help shape my choices in firearms and help me with what works and what doesn't.

The discussion thread ''pas excellance'' had to be the 2nd amendment one ... started by James C.... (darned memory!)

Pics .. well most pic threads are interesting, seeing other's gear. Only gripe tho is, despite the often very high quality ... it comes at a price. Namely ... huge pics that scroll off and ... so large that a page-full takes all day to download!! (please - 600 pix max and about 50 - 60k).

Other good 'uns have to be Lawdog stuff and recently Golgo-13 has been gettin there too!:D

Over and above that .. altogether a variety of interest that has to be unequalled ... except probably the TFL archives.

Preacherman, Thank You!!

I joined THR after that thread, and would have missed it if not for you. Great Story!!! We need a book from Law-Dog!!
