on 12"x24" man-torsos? Say, 5m apart. With an optic sight on a flattop AR carbine, .30 seconds is quite feasible to attain, between hits on one target and the next. You'll never crack 1 full second with the bolt action, nor .60 second with the lever action. So why be 2-4x slower than you have to be, with your life on the line, hmm? You can easily miss a guy, too, you know. In combat, there's hundreds of missess for every hit, and many hits for each SOLID hit, too. so why kid yourself that manually operated rifles are ok for combat? They aint.
