I usually load 4.6 gr with a 230 grain FMJ.
With 4.6 gr. of Tite Group and a 230 gr. FMJ bullet, I set the OAL to 1.230HTML:I usually load 4.6 gr with a 230 grain FMJ.
Just curious, what do you use for an OAL? The Hodgdon info online for a 230 gr lrn calls for 1.200", which seems too short. Two of my manuals call for 1.260, and three different brands of factory ammo I've measured run in the 1.260"-1.265" range.
So let me get this straight you went over max on an initial load?I just reloaded some 45 ACP, 230 gr. HP, over 4.9 gr. Titegroup. I got the load from my reloading manual (s). Haven't shot any yet but I'm confident they are a safe load...
I was able to find 3lbs titegroup at my lgs, im loading up 230gr plated .45.Ive primarily used HP-38 but took what was available. any thoughts on this powder for the 45?
