Like almost everyone on this board I have firearms. That is, more than one handgun. My question for everyone is, "How many pistols do you own that you do NOT have a holster for?"

i would say close to 30, is that a bad thing? seems like i keep getting more, but a lot of them i have no need for a holster since MO does not alow ccW. Ronald

rmdye,

I grew up in Misery, and when I lived there, many years ago, open carry was legal. Is it still?

I have holsters for all of my handguns.

I have holsters for all my centerfires, but none for my 3 .22's. Thats because I never carry my .22's. I take them out to shoot, then put them back in the case.

Only two - a single action .22 and my CZ - have a LaserLyte attached to the trigger guard and haven't found a holster for it yet.......

The search continues.....:)

None.

Now if you'd ask how many holsters do I have that don't have pistols, the number would be up there. :D

Double Maduro, yes we still can open carry but i would wonder what looks you would get if you did it outside of deer season still see a lot of open carry then. Ronald

Buying holsters for new pistols is a cherished ritual... I have NO pistols that do not have AT LEAST 2 holsters for them...

Even my Ruger .22 pistol has 2, 1 belt, 1 shoulder.

I have lots of handguns that I like to own and like to shoot, but don't routinely carry. I don't buy model-specific holsters for most of these pieces, but I do have one of each size Bianchi X-15 shoulder holster (as close to a "universal" holster as can be bought) and a couple of open-bottomed pancakes (that will accept any barrel length) for the times I wish to carry those without dedicated holsters.

4 pistols, 3 holsters. But the fourth holster has been ordered and is being made as I write this.

Hmmm...you know, I think I could wear them all at the same time, too...

I have multiple holsters/carry options for everything but my pet .22 Ruger single shot pistol - and that's a pampered pet ever since I shot 10-for10 saltines at 25 yards with either the .22lr or the .22WMR cylinder!

Hmmm...you know, I think I could wear them all at the same time, too...

The object of the game is to not be able to carry them all at the same time. I mean, like, without a forklift... :D

Armatissimi e liberissimi!

Just one that I can think of off the top of my head - HS2000/XD (whatever you want to call it now :D ). Need to get one though as it would make a nice smaller carry piece (compared to the USP that is usually on my hip). As for the rest I don't know if they could all be in a holster at once, but I do have holsters that would fit them.

@ rmdye

Wish I had YOUR problem -- only two Berettas without holsters. Why couldn't I have 30 pistols...H&K and Beretta?:banghead:

Well right now I have 2 different pistols each has a holster. When I started w/ handguns I was working as an armed security guard. I bought a duty holster for every handgun. I even bought a duty holster for a S&W M29 4" barrel. I couldn't legally carry that revolver. Since I've sold all the handguns I never shot/carried. I have holsters for handguns I don't own. But I've learned. The last pistol I bought I only bought 1 holster for it. Now that pistol is for sale. The next pistol I buy will be an exact copy of my carry pistol so I don't need a holster. Oh no I all ready want a new holster for my current carry pistol. I have 8 holsters for my current carry pistol. I only use 1 holster. W/ the new holster I'll then have 9 holster w/ only 1 holster I'll use. At least the last holster will be the last. If I ever choose a different carry pistol. this last holster, for my current carry pistol, will be the same type of holster for future pistols. So at least I wont have to buy a bunch to see which I like the best. After I get 2 pistols the same. I don't plan on, buying a pistol, just to buy a pistol. so I wont have pistols w/o holsters. I'll holster w/o pistols & holsters I don't use for a pistol.

Two.

Ruger Super Blackhawk Bisley 44 Mag
Ruger 22/45 4" target barrel

I'm trying to solve the first, but don't know if I will ever get a holster for the latter.

Now, I have a few handguns that have more than one holster. Do they count for the overall? :)

You know its funny

I lived in jersey my whole life, No chance to ever actually carry a handgun except in a match but somehow I managed to aquire holsters for justr about everything I own! Why? I could'nt really tell you except I love the smell of new leather and enjoy the feel of older leather( I love to search those big boxes of used holsters at the gun shows - never know what you are gonna find<G>)

none. I never buy a handgun without buying at least one holster for it within the same month. worse than buying a rifle without a sling (I am now going to hear from every non-sling using rifle owner and every handgun collector on THR, but there it is...).

on the other hand, I also have a burgeoning collection of holsters that have seen minimal use, in that I buy them and then after using a few times decide I do NOT like them...

Thirty something handguns, and yes, I've carried thirty at once. Not my brightest move, BTW. The darned Broomhandle has no holster, but I've got a good reason. Since I want an original holster/buttstock for it, that's going to cost me more than some of the guns I've got, so it's on the back burner for now.
