I'm planning on buying one of those neat Polish Tokarevs while SOG has them. Is there any ammunition I should avoid for the Tok? I'll mostly be putting S&B commercial stuff through it, I suspect, but you find those bulk lots of surplus stuff.

Where's a good place to get magazines and such for the Tokarev?

I own a Polish Tok and the S&B works great in it. Conventional wisdom
says to avoid any Czech made 7.62x25 as it is loaded hotter for the
sturdier CZ-52 (though it's hard to imagine a sturdier auto than the
Polish Tok). Also some surplus from old Warsaw Pact countries may have
originally been intended for submachine guns and loaded accordingly.
If you have a plentiful supply of S&B or Norinco I'd stick with it.
cdnninvestments.com is an excellent source for like new magazines at
a very fair price.

I got Polish ammo when it was 7 cents a shot delivered from Century.

Now that I have Polish Tokarevs, I shoot Polish ammo in them and tell Polak jokes, "Why did the Polak buy a CZ52? Becuse he read it was stronger!"

Mike there is a guy around here (Clark, I think) that likes to do destructive tests on things. He uses a Chinese Tok as his favorite because the thing is NEARLY indestructable! I can't Imagine a load even for sub machine guns being produced with over 60,00 psi .
