Took my son to the range this morning.

We took the following with us:

-Colt Delta Elite 10mm, 100 rounds
-CZ-85 Combat 9mm, 100 rounds
-Kel-Tec P-3AT .380, 100 rounds
-Walther P22 .22, 400 rounds

-Colt Delta Elite 10mm. Every time I shoot this gun I remember why I LOVE it.... The feel of this gun is AWESOME. Sa usual No problems

-CZ-85 Combat 9mm. I love the grip on this gun it really fits my hand like a glove. No problems here either.

-Kel-Tec P-3AT .380. Another outing and NO problems. Not as accrete at 25 yards as the above two but I really was not expected it to be.

-Walther P22 .22, 400 rounds. This is what my son shot most of the day. No problems with it either. FUN gun

All in all a very good day at the range and spendingtime with my 11 yr old son.

CZ-100,

I'm sure your son would rank the trip right up there with riding go-karts or getting to drive a car. I wonder what he and his buddies will be talking about for the next week or so!

Heck, if you can *hit* anything at 25 yards with that little gun, you are doing a lot better than me! ;) I find the little Kel-Tec to be a great shooter at 15 yards. At 25, I'm just throwing copper & lead down range.

How's the kick on the Delta compared to a .45 cal?

That's great CZ100!
My Dad taking me to the range for the first time, many moons ago, is one of my most cherished memories.
Good times...:)

Great!
When my son was that age I also enjoyed taking his friends along too. Kept a printed list of the safety rules in the glove box of my truck, review was mandantory.

My eleven year old son also loves to shoot the P22. Every time I consider selling or trading it, I think about how much fun he has with this gun and I am brought back to my senses.

Last week my wife's parents were visiting and my father-in-law gave my son a .22/410 that he has had for many years. My son loves shooting light loads in my Remington 870 Wingmaster, but a shotgun of his own? He is delighted!

We were way too busy this past week, but I'll bet we get to the range tomorrow afternoon. I love the time we spend together shooting.

CZ-100 ...... (lump in throat time) .... hell, my boy is 26 now ....... but how well I remember similar things ...... the joy of passing on knowledge to the sibling ...... and enjoying ... their enjoyment.

Treasure these moments dude ... they mean a lot.:)

I started shooting when i was 5, I am now 19 and got back from a range trip yesterday. I love shooting and it doesnt get better then being with friends or family. Gunnies are great, best thing is to shoot for a little and bs around some guys pistol.

My next puchase will be a .22. I love the Walther, but have read a lot of bad reviews. I heard there are problems with roll pins/saftey mechanism.

IM sure I had just as good as a time as he did.:D

This is the first time we have gone to the range with just the two of us in a while, usually my dad will go to, but he had to that his dog to the vet so he could not make it. Good quality time.

Its nice.. 3 generation of the family shooting together. Can't beat it.

Well maybe when my youngest son goes too :D

DMK
The Kel-tec @ 25 yds wes not really something that I would brag about. I was shooting at an 8" target and more than half were off the target. :what: but would definitly hit a human target.

as far as the other question:
How's the kick on the Delta compared to a .45 cal?

I have not fired a .45 in a long time so I really can not anwser that one. Maybe someone else could take a shot at this.
