What about the sig 220 Equinox carry model? Single stack so its slim as most 1911's stil has the 45 knock down with out mag cap depleated like most carry models and the night sights are amazing. To me nights sights are pretty important since most activity where one would need the weapon are well...... at night.

I only have 2 carry guns. :(

Seeing all these people with 3 makes me sad.

Well, My top 3........
Since I'm an old Wheel gun guy.........

My very favorite is Ruger SP101, .357 magnum.

My pocket gun is a Ruger LCR, .38 special +P

My Service Weapon is a Ruger GP100 3", .357 magnum.
All 3 are concealable. I have carried all 3, for days & weeks, at a time.;)

My list:
FNP-9 most days
LCP anytime
NAA .22Mag anytime the 2 above cant be carried

Special occassions Colt Diamondback

My top three

S&W M&P 340 J Frame with CT 405 grips.
Seecamp LWS .380
Kahr PM9

Today it was the Seecamp, low threat zones.

Glock 23 OWB in a Dale Fricke Gideon holster when apparel allows

Glock 33 .357 Sig AIWB in a Dale Fricke JOAB holster

Always and extra magazine for EDC & a speed strip of .38+P Corbon for LCR

Ruger LCR .38+P Front pocket DeSantis Nemisis holster 100%

TK

Airweight +P J-frame
Steel Magnum J-frame
XD45 Service, but rarely. That thing is big, bulky and heavy! For me, it's really easy to shoot, though. :D

Though I shoot some target competition with semiautos, tiny semiautos don't really do it for me. I am more confident that I can get 5 on target with a J-frame. One day, I might go for a CC-oriented 1911 variant, though.

Of the ones I own
Kahr PM-9
Sig P-238
Seecamp LWS 32

One I don't own but like
LCP

The Seecamp is SO small, there's no reason to NOT carry it.

Glock 26, 27 and 33: 100% carry. Works great in all self-defense applications as a sidearm.

I tried smaller guns, but either control, caliber, or capacity was lacking.

By far, my most often carried, in order of preference are:

1. Ruger LCP
2. S&W 642
3. NAA Mini Magnum 1-5/8"

All 3 in pocket holsters, either in coat pocket or pants pocket. Once in a great while (like, 3 or 4 times a year) I'll get bored and try carrying around one of these:

• Kahr CW9
• Springfield XD40sc
• Ruger SP101 2-1/4"
• Government 1911

Then, I'll remember why I prefer pocket carry, and despise IWB or OWB concealed carry, and I'll go back to one of the first 3.

New Favorite

I hate to admit it but Kimber spends most of her days in the safe.

Full size: FN 5.7 x 28, accurate, light and 30 rnd mags.
Compact: Springfield EMP in 9mm. Clumsy and rude but small and dependable.

Scott

My top 3:

-S&W 3953 9x19mm
-Ruger SP101 DAO .357 Magnum
-S&W Centennial Airweight of Some type

A close fourth for me is my S&W 4553 TSW

Smith & Wesson M&P Full Size 9mm Luger -- I carry it in an inside-the-waistband holster. If I think I'll need more firepower, I'll take this one.

Smith & Wesson 442 .38 Special -- I pocket carry it or carry in an outside-the-waistband holster. It's comfortable in all clothing, thus I roll with this most of the time.

I don't have a third choice. These two fit me.

I think you guys are giving Kel-Tec short shrift.

Mine have been totally reliable. As far as I know their PF-9 and P-32 are the lightest things going in their respective calibers.

Then consider that they are so inexpensive you can treat them as consummables, seems to be the most bang for the buck (forgive me).

And of course, original and still king of the hill S&W M37/38 or other alloy versions.
