Yes, the gun only holds two rounds at a time, but unless you live in Gangland you're never gonna
get in a gunfight so what's the use of 18+1 rounds in comparibly unreliable pistol when you're only ever gonna get mugged by a guy standing 2 feet away and you're guaranteed not to miss with her kind of a CCW set-up?!
Really great combination, highly recommend it to anyone
who takes the facts of conveniant CCW self-defense
seriously...

What's the use of 18 rounds if you don't live in "Gangland?"

A comparably unreliable pistol?

Only going to get mugged by 1 guy standing 2 feet away?

Guaranteed not to miss?

That sir, sounds like a mountain of assumption.

Carry rotation includes.
Glock 19
Glock 26
Taurus 85 w/o lock
Keltec p32

That about covers all my wardrobe choices.
Looking for a reason to get a Kahr cw9 though.

Variety is the spice of life.

Carry Guns

My #1 Carry is SA Micro .45 LW w/Crossbreed ST Del; #2 Taurus Mod. 85 w/Clip Draw Bobbed Hammer and action job; #3 Kel-Tec P3AT (380) pocket Blackhawk holster. All stoked w/Hornady Critical Defense. Depending on type of clothing; one of these three will work nicely.

MY 3

When I carry a gun besides my duty gun, it depends on the weather, threat and manner of dress.

1. My BERETTA 3032 Tomcat is my most frequently carried gun. I can take it anywhere in a pants pocket. It has proven large enough to be controlable and small enough to be carried without notice.
I started carrying it with ball, but now use FEDERAL Hydro-Shok as it has proven reliable enough. It sometimes catches on the last round in the magazine, so I load a ball round into the mag first, then the HYDRO-SHOKS.

2. A TAURUS model 85 as my car gun. I also used this as a pocket carry. Previously I had used a somewhat lighter CHARTER ARMS Undercover. Both were carried in a Thad RYBKA pocket holster that has served me very well for many years. I use FEDERAL Nyclad 125 grain hollow points. I think they are more controlable than the +P ammo.

3. My next size gun is a belt gun. Usually it is a BERETTA 92 Compact or WALTHER P-99. I have also used a BERETTA Centurion in the past, but actually shoot better with the Compact model. Both of these guns have proved to be the most accurate and controlable for me.

I used to carry a GLOCK 19 when it was my duty gun. I found the GLOCK 19 just the right size. Large enough for good control and compact enough to conceal. The WALTHER is about the same dimensions, but has better ergonomics in my opinion. Maybe the 4th generation GLOCKS will change that, but until then, the BERETTA and WALTHER feel the best in my hand.

In these pistols, I carry 9m.m. +P ammo.

My current carry favorites are pretty similiar to the OP.

A Glock 27, outfitted with a grip extension and XS 24/7 Big Dots, tucked in a UBG Canute is my near EDC rig. I keep my current load to 9-180gr Federal Tactical Bonded JHPs.

When my collection was slightly less diverse my EDC setup was a Taurus 85UL in an super cheap Uncle Mike's IWB and loaded with 125gr GDHP. I miss this setup as is was CHEAP, light, and was very comfortable when carried in appendix position.

My next carry setup will be either a Smitty 37 or a Ruger LCP.

(1) S&W Model 19, 4" barrel; not the smallest thing, but very efficient balance of power, handling qualities, shootability, and concealability.
I can shoot a 4-plus-inch K/L-frame or GP100 better than any handgun on the planet, and a 4" K is notably easier to conceal all day than an L or GP.

(2) Ruger SP101; still powerful, but notably more concealable in some modes than a K-frame.

(3) Seecamp LWS-32; I rarely carry this one, but when the SP101 is too big, I will generally pass the J-snubs over and go all the way down to this superbly-built pistol.

I very nearly mentioned a 1911 on the large end, and a J-frame snubby on the small end. The only easy choice was the SP101.

I actually usually conceal a P229 daily, because this is my uniformed police duty pistol, and is small enough for most concealed-carry needs.

The biggest disappointment was a G27, found to be FAR too blocky for good concealment under a wide range of circumstances, with the clothing I usually wear. I would rather hide a 1911 or P229 than a even a "baby" Glock. I can hide barrel/slide length, and height as measured from base of grip to top of slide, well enough, but the rear of a Glock's slide, coupled with the blockiness and width, is a "tell" I would rather not deal with. I sold my G27 to a co-worker with a chunkier build than me. He had one G27, and wanted another, for his UC narc work. (We buy our own firearms, at my PD.)

My daily choices for CCW:

Ruger LCP
Kahr PM9
S&W M&P 9c
Charter Arms Undercover
Taurus PT145

All 100% reliable so far

#1 Ruger SP101 2.25" barrel in a crossbreed supertuck.
#2 XD Subcompact 9mm in crossbreed supertuck.

just dumped an LCP. crossbreed has really changed my mind about concealment and size. I am comfortable concealing larger guns now.

All day, almost every day, Walther PPS 9mm, sometimes Smith 3913NL, When I can dress around it, Dan Wesson Commander Bobtail.

In order of size:

#1 Para small frame 1911, its slimmer than a glock subcompact.
#2 Glock 27
#3 Full size 1911

sp101 DAO crimson trace overmold grip front nite sight XDm 40 3.8 with tru glo sights Kimber tactical custom

Mine would be 1) Any Kahr 2) Most S&W J-Frames 3) Perhaps a Glock 29 for the winter.

Every day: Sigma .40, Ruger LCP (always one, sometimes both).
Backwoods: S&W Model 66

Wife carries HK USP9 on her person or Ruger LCR in her purse.

Favorie gun: EAA EZ9 (more accurate than wife's high-end gun and all my friends' custom 1911s and Glocks). Nothing against those of course... just singing the praises of my $350 Serbian 9mm. ;)
