Top 3 Concealed Carry Handguns...

The thin frame of 1911 makes it fairly easy to carry concealled. It barely prints.
Amen. That's my standard carry gun, although I sometimes will slip a Colt Detective Special in my pocket as I head out the door.

I design and make my own tuckable holsters for the M1911 (and other guns, as well.)

For me the top three are the ones I have:

S&W 442 & 642

Glock 26

Kimber Ultra Raptor II

keep an open mind

For my fiance I recently purchased a new Bond Arms derringer and I LOVE this gun for a CCW. It's a large frame and heavy derringer that you can actually get a good hold of, unlike traditional derringers, which reduces that trademark mule kick considerably. Also, loaded with the new Wincheater PDX1 self-defense shells, good grief, you could nearly stop a Mac Truck with a couple blasts from that kind of a load (3 brass slugs and a dozen metal BBs per shot) Yes, the gun only holds two rounds at a time, but unless you live in Gangland you're never gonna
get in a gunfight so what's the use of 18+1 rounds in comparibly unreliable pistol when you're only ever gonna get mugged by a guy standing 2 feet away and you're guaranteed not to miss with her kind of a CCW set-up?!
Really great combination, highly recommend it to anyone
who takes the facts of conveniant CCW self-defense
seriously...

I carry a 6-shot Taurus.38 snub nose in the old sporran every day and still find myself getting jealous of her security from time to time! YouTube it, that sold us on the idea, plain as day :)

Kahr PM45
Combat Commander
Detective Special

With the exception of the Kahr I'm an old fuddy-duddy.

for me it's a

1. sig/sauer p6
2. walther ppk
3. beretta .25

i don't have, but would consider my ideal replacement for the p6 to be, an alloy framed hi-power with a detective kit and the sfs safety.

1. STI Guardian (90%)
2. Bill Wilson Carry CQB compact (10%..night sights)
3. LCP w/crimson trace (100%)

Glock 27 most of the time
S&W 637 some of the time
Ruger LCP all the time
Yep, I carry 2 guns at all times. Carry the LCP in a wallet holster so I always have it with me.

I think I have distilled it to these three...

Glock 27 (or 26) = perfect combination of size, firepower, caliber, reliability, rugged design

SW 642 j-frame revolver= reliable, proven design, you can carry this 95% of the time. contact shots in a close quarter situations.

LCP= can carry this 100% of the time.

What about you guys?
Do you carry on campus?

* Taurus 856, stainless, snub nose, six gun loaded with .38 hollow points (don't trust the +P)
* Bond Arms Snake Slayer, chambered in .410, loaded with PDX1
* Rossi Ranch-Hand, .357/.38, looking forwards to having one to keep in the Jeep, the only niche I see this gun filling, but filling well nonetheless

Primary Carry is my keltec PF-9:

My Top 3 Carries for me.

#1) Charter Arms Bull Dog .44 {It Worked for Berkowitz in the mid-70's} #2) Taurus 3" Judge SSR Ported. #3) Smith & Wesson Model 500 9 1/2 ". Not necessarily in this order. As you may have guessed, I am the old school Heavy Revolver type. And with "one-shot knock down power" basically being a myth. These babies come dam close. This is from a guy who had to carry a S&W Model 10 .38 his whole career as a N.Y.P.D. Officer in the early 80's because some Liberal Mayors named Ed Koch and David (One Term) Dinkins felt anything larger was "unsafe for PD use in N.Y. City". But of course the bad guys were mostly carrying 9's. This is were the term " 85 forthwith" quickly became "10-13". Respectfully, A Retired/Disabled South Bronx Four-Four pct. Alumni .......

Glock 23

Glock 27

Taurus 605 Snub

The Glocks are my top guns for carry. Most reliable and most firepower for size. The Snub is great for deepest concealment.

Favorite: M&P 340 J-frame (The one for the people that complain about stopping power)

Most carried: LCP (It's so easy)
