... for this Winchester 94 Trapper 44 Magnum Saddle Ring Carbine, mfg in 1971.

Even trade, the Glock 36 for the Winchester 94. It's got a few dings and scratches but the action is tight and the bore is sharp and shiny. But that ugly recoil pad has got to go.

The 94 was originally designed for long rifle cartridges like 30-30. It does not do well with pistol length cartridges. Ask any Cowboy Action Shooter. I have owned two, one in 44mag and one in 45LC and never regretted replacing them with Marlins.

Sorry to pee on your parade.

Contrary to streakr's experience my .44 Trapper feeds Mags and Specials smoothly whereas the Marlin 1894S I had was hesitant with Mags and hated feeding Specials.

Good trade. I have a 44 mag lever and you can load a hot round and out of a rifle that round can be a bad dude. It probably won't cycle SWC lead bullets real well. If you reload and make bullets I would suggest a round nose bullet.
