Hey guys. Bought my first pistol about a month ago, G19. Factory NIB. Put about 300 rounds through it. I took it out today to go to the range, and before I left, I noticed that the pin in the trigger had come halfway out. I don't know exactly what that pin does, I suspect it holds the little trigger safety thingy in place. If holding the gun right handed, the pin is on the left side of the trigger, basically dead center.

And it was protruding halfway out of the trigger! Wth?! I'm scared if it does it again and pops up the gun will be inoperable. Its already unreliable IMO because of this, and I'm really upset. I'm a glock fan, so this does not make me hate glocks, I just must have gotten a lemon.

No I wasn't using hot rounds.

So, what should I do? How do I replace this? Is it really a problem? And if it needs repair, do I have to send it to glock or will they send me the part? If I have to send it, what is their turnaround time normally?

Thanks everybody for the help!

I would probably put one tiny drop of BLUE Lock-Tight on it, and in the hole on the other side, and push it back in place.

Once the L-T cures overnight, it won't come out again.

Once again rcmodel is right on the mark; a little Loctite should fix your problem. The only problem I can see is that if you have already pushed the pin back in you may have trouble getting it back out (the pin hole does not go all the way through the trigger) for a thorough application of the Loctite. Applying Loctite to just the exposed end of the pin may solve your problem, but if you don't feel comfortable with that you can change the trigger bar yourself. The part will run about $15(plus shipping) or give Glock a call about a replacement part. The only tool needed for the replacement process is a punch. Here's a "step by step" guide for replacing the trigger bar: http://glockmeister.com/pages.php?cID=3&pID=37http://glockmeister.com/pages.php?cID=3&pID=37

If you bought it from a store, you should take it back and they can replace the trigger bar assembly, otherwise call Glock and have them send you one. It will still be under warranty. Those 2 pins in the trigger should not come out!!!

pull the trigger bar assembly and send it to glock, or better yet see if they will just send you one, then you have a spare you can sell me cheap :) I want to try a trigger mod.......
