Just curious to hear some opinions on the combination of a shotgun (590a1 spx) with a trijicon rmr of the dual illuminated variety. I was thinking a 7 or 9 moa dot may be on the large side but it otherwise seems like a nice setup, if I were to go with a battery powered one I just as well go with a aimpoint t1 or h1.

anyway, just curious to hear some opinions on such a setup on a hd shotgun.

Here is JMO - if you need low light sights, then maybe you do not have sufficient lighting to justify deadly force and you cannot ID a clear threat. If you DO have sufficient lighting to ID your threat and make the shot, the sights are an unnecessary thing to distract your focus and possibly snag on something

Practice the K.I.S.S. philosophy - it really does work best

im all for a red dot on a shotgun
i went with a fullsize eotech though a shotgun is already heavy so i wasnt nitpicking ounces
