The next presidential election will have record voter turnout. DJT & advisers are good as sensing what most want and what the base will accept w/o bolting. Few will miss stupid bump stocks. He will make decision based on what will get him re-elected.

The pro-gun vote peaked in 2016. (The election was unusual because the gun issue was made central by both sides.) If 2016 was the high water mark for pro-gun voting, there will be fewer and fewer such voters in coming elections, as demographics change.

The thing that gets me hot under the collar, is the idea that banning a device will solve anything. It's pure fluff to appease the idiots and their ill-informed followers, that think it's the machinery that is the source of the problem.

While I don't have any interest in full autos, or in the devices that may simulate full auto; to give them up, is to concede the whole point. What the gun grabbers take from that, is that we agree "yes, the machine is the problem".

So, where do we draw the line? Because there will always be more incidents, justifying further regulation.
At some point, if you ultimately wish to retain the right for your progeny... This inch by inch ceding of ground has got to stop.

I like Patrick Nevilles ideas. Allow the educators, and/or their support staff to be armed.

Once it's allowed, you won't even need to use it....because the cowardly "infamy hunters" will stop showing up.
