TV program on the Hiroshima last night

My take on the TV show was that the producers were trying to put a face on the enemy, a tactic often used by the left to show our inhumanity. But, I still think the show was a good one.

The real reason I'm posting is because of the current state of Japanese propoganda. The Japanese govt's official position is still that the bombing of Pearl Harbor never happened. To this day the children in Japan are taught that the Pearl Harbor bombing never happened and it was a made up excuse for the U.S. to attack Japan. Most Japanese citizens either do not know of Pearl Harbor or think it is American propaganda. So, when we bombed them, it was to them, an undeserving atrocity. Also remember, Japan has never formally apologized for Pearl Harbor or their role in WWII.

I think bombing them was the best decision of the war. Justmy 2 cents.

To be frank, they did have a face...

Pity we punched it in for 'em.

Seriously, though, the Japanese who whine about us dropping the bombs on them would have done the same thing if we would have invaded them 60 years ago, assuming they'd be here today (given the increased casualties, I tend to wonder.. )

I'm kinda young myself (27) and I think that dropping the bombs was not just the right decision, but the ONLY one they could have made. To invade and lose so many more lives would have been sheer idiocy.
