I received this on a email blast from some fellow USPSA folks. Thought I'd pass it along.

President Bush has authorized the Joint Chiefs to begin drawing up a battle
plan to pull France's ass out of the fire again. Facing an apparent
overwhelming force of up to 400 pissed off teenagers Mr. Bush doubts
France's ability to hold off the little pissants. "Hell, if the last two
world wars are any indication, I would expect France to surrender any day
now", said Bush.

Joint Chiefs head, Gen. Peter Pace, warned the President that it might be
necessary to send up to 5 Marines to get things under control. The general
admitted that 5 Marines may be overkill but he wanted to get this thing
under control within 24 hours of arriving on scene. He stated he was having
a hard time finding even one Marine to help those ungrateful bastards out
for a third time but thought that he could persuade a few women Marines to
do the job before they went on pregnancy leave.

President Bush asked Gen. Pace to get our Marines out of there as soon as
possible after order was restored. He also reminded Gen. Pace to make sure
the Marines did not take soap, razors, or deodorant with them. The less they
stand out from the French the better off they will be.

Sometimes when I read stuff like this I just wish to God that it was true, but I know it isn't possible.:banghead:

The funny thing is, France has surrendered to the rioters: http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/europe/11/08/france.riots/index.html

In order for French society to provide the same changes and opportunities to all its citizens, said de Villepin, 30 billion euros will be spent in France's riot zones, with the focus primarily on helping young people.

The prime minister said the French employment agency would focus on 239 hot zones to help provide jobs for 1.5 million people. France's national unemployment rate is about 10 percent, but in areas hit by rioting the level is nearer 40 percent.

He said money will be spent to provide apprenticeships for students 14 years old and older who want to leave school. But he stressed the program will allow those young people to go back to school to gain the knowledge they need to succeed better at the jobs.

In addition, said de Villepin, funds will be channeled toward providing 100,000 scholarships as well as providing better access to upper-level colleges and universities.

To entice people off state subsidies and back to work, de Villepin said, unemployed workers will get 1,000 euros plus a monthly supplement to go back to jobs.

De Villepin announced the creation of an agency for "social cohesion" which will go into riot zones, be in direct contact with mayors and local officials, and provide programs to deal with hot-button issues like joblessness and discrimination.

France loses.

If this is meant to be a satire on Mr. Bush's ignorance of history, then I say yes, it is humorous.

I heard today that after 12 days of riots, they MIGHT impose a curfew. Ooooh, what's next, harsh language?

Maybe they should send Bono in to solve the problem.

We left France twisting under NAZI rule for a couple of years before doing anything in WW2...and then only got involved because we got bombed by the Japanese and Hitler declared war on us.

It's nice to think we helped out because we're noble, but we shouldn't believe everything we tell ourselves.

However, I think we need to speak out against France's use of force and insist they pursue diplomatic efforts for at least another few years...

probably a stern warning ending without the use of "please"

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

That's right, appease your immigrant invaders - does anyone there remember how Rome fell?

And why the &%*@! are they announcing that now?

i'm starting to think that some people ought to have to pay for all the oxygen that they steal

Who would want the rioters at their workplace? Let's see...these people proved themselves antisocial and criminal...now let's force companies to hire them!

This would only be a possiblity if the troublemakers were greasing the palms of some well placed American politicans under the table!
