Update on the Neos---after playing with it a bit---I found if you pinch the barrel and receiver together with your free hand--the take down ring moves freely and then the whole thing locks up solid when you remove the pressure. The grip angle is very Glock-ish and you have to concentrate at first till you get used to it.
Deal breaker for the Browning is the top strap---had a couple and they always come loose or break---very annoying. Plus its been at least 2 years since I've seen a cheap one--they're all trying to sell these $500 monstrosities---yet I never see a base model.
The S&W bolt/slide appears to be made of pot metal---am I wrong on this? Definitely an inferior material if true.
Takedown/reassembly on my MkIII was much improved once I "fixed" the mag disconnect---the whole process has been overblown---and is VERY easy once you get the trick of it. The MkIII(II-I)(not 22/45) is the only one made completely of steel for the major components---everything else out there is a mixture of steel(barrel) -aluminium---plastic or some mystery material.
