i have to choose between these rifles:

anschutz 1451 (old - from W.Germany => at least 20 yo)
CZ 452 (new)
remington model five (new)

if i choose CZ or anschutz, i can not get any spare parts (because of my location)

have u any advice

thanks

This would get more attention in the "Rifles" forum, I think.

To answer, I wouldn't let spare parts availability dictate my choice. The Remington is a Zastava rifle, formerly imported to the US by Charles Daly. I have a CZ 452, and I like it a lot. I would recommend it. The Anschutz has a brand name appeal in this country, but I don't know if it is famous where you live. Where DO you live, anyway?

hello & thanks for reply

i live in serbia - in kragujevac (in my town zastava rifles are manufactured)

i posted on other forums this question also

it seems that anschutz is top choice (statistically) - because most of the people said that is the best choice, the only prob are the spare parts as well as my lack of experience

Anschutz manufactures spare parts for almost all models.
You can even find the lists and drawings on internet.

I have an Anschutz from the 60's.
Still in match condition.
Shoots like hell.

I dunno about spare parts availability... but the CZ452 is a very good rifle. I just love mine. By the way, what parts do you expect to replace on the rifle?

I have a 1451D and a few 452s. If you want higher quality, the Anschütz is the way to go. This does not mean that the 452 is not built well, quite the contrary, The Anschütz is just build very slightly better. (The 1451 being Anschütz's former low end model below the 64 action.)

The 1451 action will be much smoother than the 452's (and 453's). It will also have a much more easily adjustable trigger with a much wider range and number of adjustments. To get the level of trigger feel the 1451 offers, parts will have to be replaced in the 452 fire control system.

Performance-wise, they are about the same.

(And I am a big CZ 452/453 fan but have a few Anschützes also.)

Have no history with the Rem Mod 5.
