ULTIMATE 9MM carry gun?

My ultimate may be different than your ultimate.
My ultimate 9mm carry gun may be not so ultimate once I find it's flaws and weaknesses.
But right now, if money was no issue, in 9mm I'd carry a kahr pm9.

EMP, or a STI mini 9

EMP because I have one and it's awesome. STI because of their reputation and the fact they offer a similar package.

If you mean carrying concealed, for me it's a S&W 3913 or 908.

Personal preference will determine your "ultimate".

The winner is indeed the HK p7, but I like to entertain myself in what other's think:D. Any other tupperware owners wanna test the heat:evil:?

I like my M8 & K3 but they are just to heavy for CC here in Tx while wearing light T's and shorts most of the year. Hence my PPS vote.

dead duck, congrats! the local stores here have a few returns on the Walther PPS.. Geez! its sad to hear Walther is making crapola these days, p22 too.

My vote is for the Rohrbaugh only because I want one and it's not a commonly seen gun. I've only handled one and the carbon fiber is something to behold.

The "ultimate" 9 mm is a very personal thing. Heck, if I could carry an original 9 mm UZI that would be awesome.

I can't think of anything better or more reliable for full sized carry for any money than my 90two full of Winchester 127 grain +P+.

For compact carry, my PX4 SC full of Winchester 115 grain +P+. (Got two of them I like them so much).

I know there are many great 9mms out there. I've owned most of them at one time or another. Never had an HK, but don't feel the need.

The only negative things I have heard about the PPS are from the .40 caliber version. The 9mm version, including the one I have shot, has proven reliable for the people that own them around here. PPS isn't a bad way to go IMO.

Money aside, the PPS, PM9, or XD9SC get my vote. Polymer isn't just about money, it's about weight too.

Money is ALWAYS an issue when you're a cheap bastard.
G19 or G26.

After some serious consideration the P7M8 would be in my top 10 but for the price a Glock can't be beat.

Glock 19. It is the best overall combination of size, power, and capacity ever designed. Yes there are more expensive guns, and prettier guns, but I would still take the G19.

I know the HK fans love the P7, but I sold mine after a year because I really didn't see that it offered anything other than a unique safety mechanism. One has to ask oneself, if it was/is such a fine, sought after auto, why did HK discontinue it? Police weren't buying them and neither were enough shooters.

guntick, its as they said all along. Americans are cheapskates that buy junk. The process to make a precise tool like the P7 out weighed the market for a bunch of junkies who like plastic. Simple.:(

While I like my P7's, I do not consider them better than my poly pistols just because of the manufacturing time spent to produce one. The P7's are far out dated, a gas system in a pistol is almost prehistoric today, takes much more time to clean and fouls its self. Yes the WOW factor is there and you can say 'I own one' or in my case Two, they are super fast to reload and accurate but the weight, filth and cost do factory against them.

Tupperware rules the carry guns. Steel makes a nice range gun, but the weight gets to me after a while. Glock 19 all the way.

However, if money was absolutely not an issue, I would have Gaston make me a one off single stack G19....that would be the best.
