I am working on my next SBR; the gun I am working with is the PAP M92 pistol. I know there are a lot of love/hate relationships with the underfolder but I thought it would be nice to have on an SBR.

My question is how hard would it be to modify the pistol to accept the underfolder stock?

The military version of the Pap M92 comes with an underfolder.... If I recall correctly the rear trunnion on the Pap M92 pistol is a virgin underfolder unit, uncut for the stock mounts.... if one were to sbr it, you could, with the correct methods, install just about any countries underfolder and it would work since the trunnion would be able to be set up for the correct specs....

Check out Ak files, in the gun smithing section... its chock full of good info for such a project :)

Underfolders aren't "nice" to have on any AK. :) And there are good side-folders which can work on SBRs and actually be stable, comfortable stocks.

But if your pistol is fitted with this style rear trunion (as shown on the Red Star Arms sales page here: http://www.redstararms.com/index1.html?1158.html&1), then fitting an under-folder should be as simple as cutting the receiver shell material away carefully to expose the holes.
