I was shipping back a defective/unsatisfactory weapon to the distributor for a refund. I decided to wonder why it had been two weeks after delivery and had not received a confirmation of delivery. So, I check the tracking info, and the gun has been 'in transit' in the hub that is supposed to delivery it for the past, say, 13 days?
I have filed a claim with UPS. I'm trying to gather documentation of the value of the item. I'm pretty sure a serial number and proof of purchase from the distributor will suffice. I guess I could always see what my FFL would provide me as well. I still have the shipping receipt.
My question is: is there anything else I need to do or be worried about? I imagine it'd be one thing if they lost something from the QVC channel, but they lost a rifle...
