W.W.J.C.D. Bracelets: Would you wear one?

FYI

I got enough "No" votes to decide I didn't want to put the saying on anything. Some of those other variations are pretty funny though. :)

Maybe I'm missing a point that can be clarified for me, but I don't see how praising a man for his brilliant logic, eloquence, and basically everything that he worked hard doing in life would be offensive to his surviving family members... ???

No.

I wouldn't because we already know the answer: he'd talk them into submission. He certainly was loquacious and used the royal "we" to a fault.

The Dirty Harry question, on the other hand, is a yes!

Thanks,

Just wear NRA

I just wear my NRA cap or my NRA T shirt and if they offerred an NRA braclet I doubt I would buy one - well, maybe for the wife.

I also like the NRA cogge cups and mugs.

This way everyone kows what it means.

WWJCD - definitely no

What would Scooby Doo?

... maybe... but probably not.

I probably wasn't clear, and for that I apologize. There are legally enforceable rights in the use of a person's name. We're all free to praise and admire Jeff Cooper's contributions but that's not what you were proposing. Try doing a bracelet with "What Would Martin Luther King Do?" and I think you would quickly meet one or more fierce lawyers who would tell you some of what Dr. King's heirs will do, not much of which you would enjoy.

There also are the proprieties. You don't know how Jeff Cooper's family would feel if you went ahead with your project. They might be appreciative. But it's possible that they might not like it. One way to show respect for such a person is to respect the feelings about him of the family he left behind. You can't know how they feel unless you ask them directly. I can't answer your question for them. Neither can anyone else.

I'm not responding negatively to your project or to you, only suggesting some concerns that you as a decent person would want to consider. Clearer? I hope so.
