I'm in Oregon. I'm pretty sure we're on the short list for a similar attack by Bloomberg types.

We've got it pretty good here in Oregon for the most part. Concealed permits are easy and quick to get. Open carry is legal and common except in certain cities. No weird permits or licences required to buy guns like they have in states like new york or new jersey. If the anti's on Oregon get a big cash influx, we are only a couple of initiatives away from serious infringements.

Oregon flipped a few solid pro-gun Democrats this November, they were the only and last obstacles to getting UBC passed through the legislature. The legislative majority is now solidly pro-UBC, I expect Oregon will have their own version of 594 in the near future.

I'm heading down the week after Thanksgiving to apply for my non-resident CHL before the mood sours further.

^ Portland is a nightmare, more to the left than Seattle, if that is possible. Save all the children and beavers is their reason for being.

If I was an Oregon resident, I would be very, very concerned about the next extreme Portland motivated moves. Not to mention Salem.

I hope Wa 594 gets trounced by the courts. That's the only thing that's gonna take the wind out of their sails. As it stands their dastardly strategies with 594 were a resounding success for the anti's and will serve as a "how-to" in other states.

I wonder what the founders would have thought of the initiative process that many states now have? It's a step in the direction of direct democracy, which our founding fathers knew would leave individuals vulnerable to the tyranny of the majority. Wa 594 is an example of that.

Dialing up Washington, Madison, Adams and Jefferson, et alia, to comment on the likes of Obama, Holder, Schumer, Boxer and Hillary, would be most interesting!
