Ruger Mk II, stainless bull barrel. Now I have an excuse, ummm, a reason to go to the gun show this weekend (like I need a reason:rolleyes: )

To find a set of rosewood grips.

Ugly as sin???

Somebody needs an optometrist! :)

This Saturday I'll be continuing the negotiations on a barely used Rohrbaugh that I'd like to have. I found it last Saturday in a small shop over in the valley (as in Shenandoah) and called them yesterday to work out a few more details on their used gun warranty - do they even have one? - and the price. Unfortunately the owner still wasn't in.

I was shocked to find a Rohrbaugh in a deer, turkey and varmint store. I imagine it'll be there for another few days hiding on the bottom shelf. It might have been the most expensive gun in the store. ;)

Well - early Buy-A-Gun day was a No. 4 MkI* Savage Enfield last month. A late BAG day purchase with the proceeds from our tax overpayments will be ... probably will be a Springfield 1903 (pre-WWII). I've seen them out there amongst the 03-A3's, it just might take some searching.

Sadly, I didn't buy a gun. I have "enough" for my financial situation right now.

I did, however, buy 1,500 rounds of ammo -- 500 rounds of CCI Blazer Brass 9mm, 500 rounds of CCI Blazer Brass .45 ACP, and 500 rounds of Winchester Dynapoint .22LR.

I don't even have a 9mm pistol, but am planning to get one in the near future, and stocking up cheap ammo that's on sale is never a bad thing. I saved about 33% buying online than I did buying in the store, so I'm happy.

I've been shooting a lot of the Blazer aluminum cased stuff recently, but I've got a progressive press on my wish list, so I need to start building up a reserve of brass for reloading.

April 15 is also Jackie Robinson day in MLB.
And BTW I'm also looking for a new .22 pistol.
Any ideas other the Ruger, Browning, and Sig?

what's the intended purpose. For plinking a walther p22 would be fun. Or what about a 22 lr conversion kit for one of your centerfire pistols. Or move upmarket and buy a used pardini or hammerli.

I hate to highjack the thread so I may open up a new thread for this. The intended purpose is bullseye shooting.
Bullseye shooting on a budget.

Man oh man, Buy a Gun day, just what I need!!

The 15th also happens to be my birthday so I am doubly blessed.

Bought myself a Savage Mark2 GL with a scope last week for my b-d. We also do b-days a little different in my house. We have birthday week!! Wifey has been giving me some kind of shooting accessory for the last two days and I still have five to go, woohoo!!!!

Now i need to go get a new gun for this BAG thing, , life is great!

It's a triple-whammy weekend for me. I have the latest member of the accumulation (I don't collect, I accumulate) coming any day now (a CZ75 Compact 9mm in polycoat), I have jury duty for two days, and am waiting on my CHL renewal. Guess which one will happen first (or last). Mister Murphy is looking over me very well this month.

Update as of 13 April - Got my renewed CHL in today's mail. Hot-footed it to my FFL of choice to fill out paperwork for the transfer. Seller sent a CZ75 SemiCompact rather than a CZ75 Compact (not that I am complaining, mind you), and NICS put a 'delay' on the transfer. I will try to remain calm. I was looking to add a SemiCompact to the accumulation anyhow.

I don't participate in BAG, but I did get a Mosin Nagant a couple of weeks ago for my birthday...

I just hope the Fairtax gets passed before I have to start doing my taxes

The stars are aligning, apparently. Buy-a-gun day on the 15th, my anniversary on the 12th. The eleventh is traditionally the Steel Anniversary...

I've been hinting around at a snub-nosed .38. Well, maybe hinting isn't the right word. If it happens I'll count it as my BAG day gun.
