What if...what would you pick?

M1 Carbine. Or, wait until after SHOT is over, see if anything was anounced that tickles your fancy.

I just donated $500 to the Red Cross for aid to Haiti. I have enough of everything, including guns, for right now.

I would buy an AK from your list.

But if I had a 5 spot, I would buy another American Classic 2 1911 from Metro Arms

Are there any issues with the Inland-receiver M1 Carbine? Why is it $75 cheaper than the next brand CMP carries?

The Inland was the most common M1 Carbine manufacturere and as such is considered less valuable than other makers'. Perhaps it might be more accurate to say that the rarer makers models command more $$$$ value due to their rarity.

I have an Inland my father brought back from Korea. I have never had any issues with the reciever at all.

Due to refitting of the carbines after WW2 (or even during) it is very unusual to see a carbine that is "as is" from manufacturere. In fact it might be hard to prove a particular one is all original.

But if you're thinking of getting one to shoot the Inland will do that as well as any.

If it has to be a gun....S&W mod. 19 would be nice...or a 27 or a 29...I don't any of those.

+1 on the Dillon press. $500 would be a great start on the Dillon system.

Maybe just reloading supplies. Some of this and a little of that for the different calibers I reload.

This is like figuring out how to spend lottery winnings....never gonna' happen. :D

I would have to say the M1 Carbine. I love mine. I have all the guns on your list except the XD. The XD turns me away being that its made in croatia, I know I know dumb reason because ive heard they are great pistols I just get something in my head and cant change my mind about it. ak ammo is cheaper than carbine ammo... well per box anyway, you do get 50 per carbine bx and 20 for 7.62x39 though.

Slightly off topic .....
Yesterday I attended a Militaria show in Huntsville Alabama. LOTS of carbines. And M1A1s. High walls were there. An M2 was there -- and a T3; which has a infrared nightvision scope, light, and a backpack battery (the owner said it still worked!). Great carbine stuff.

Also other stuff; a German WW2 G3, and a 1928 Thompson., and some cap 'n' ball revolvers.

But the carbines were amazingly well represented.

Hello friends and neighbors // How about $550.00

As a matter of fact I'm looking at a CZ75B SA, 40s&w,adjustable rear sights, 2 mags and box($400.00) or a S&W model 617, SS, 22lr, 10 round, no lock.($550.00)

I think either is a good deal. Both are in great condition. Would prefer the 617 but the owner was not there. Call back Tues. grrr LOL
