Love the Walther PP Line of Pistols
Not because of fiction or James Bond - When I was about 21 an older friend of mine whom I greatly respected recommended a PPK/s in .380 as one of the great all time carry pistols. I came across a new one at a gun shop about a year later and bought it. Loved the gun. Over the last 30+ years I have owned 4 different Walthers:
PPK/s German Walther .380
PP Manurhin Walther .380
PP Manurhin Walther .32
PP Manurhin Walther .32
I currently carry a PP Manurhin Walther in .32. I know the calibre issue has been beat to death on THR, but for me, I like the .32 best. The gun carries and conceals easy. The .32 is very accurate, and 100% flawless in function with all types of ammo. The recoil is very mild out of this gun in that calibre, and follow up shots are easily placed. To top it off, nine shots out of a small package is very impressive.
Would it be my choice if I was heading to the woods or if I felt the need for something bigger - no. Fact is, the most dangerous place I plan on being today is "Cracker Barrel," not many gunfights there over the rocking chairs or "Mama's Pancake breakfast."
