How rare are these? I know they used to make the 9x17 and sold quite a lot of them, but until tonight I wasn't aware they made a 9x19. I've never seen one in the wild.

The Walther PP came in .22lr, .32acp and .380acp. There was a model called the PP Super which was chambered in a 9X18 Ultra round, also called 9mm Police. To my knowledge there are no 9x19 Luger models.

Walther PP Supers are fairly rare as is the ammo. It resembles a P5 in some ways, a very attractive pistol.

FWIW; The 9x18 Ultra and Makarov are not the same rounds

Walther prototyped the MP which looked like an oversize PP in 9x19 blowback.
Heavy slide and strong recoil spring were not enough and only a few were made.
They had tried the same idea earlier with the Model 6, which did not work, either.

I have aWalther PPSuper chambered in 9x18 police or Ultra, where might a man find thi ammoThanks Weasle 94 by the wy I read athread about shooting .380,s in a 9x18 chamber, bad idea ,does not fit and a 9x18 mak will not let the slide close fully.

Jim Watson has it.
If you happen to own one, they will bring around $10K on the collector market,
