Walther PP in 9x19?

How rare are these? I know they used to make the 9x17 and sold quite a lot of them, but until tonight I wasn't aware they made a 9x19. I've never seen one in the wild.

The Walther PP came in .22lr, .32acp and .380acp. There was a model called the PP Super which was chambered in a 9X18 Ultra round, also called 9mm Police. To my knowledge there are no 9x19 Luger models.

Walther PP Supers are fairly rare as is the ammo. It resembles a P5 in some ways, a very attractive pistol.

FWIW; The 9x18 Ultra and Makarov are not the same rounds

The PP is a blow back gun and would NOT be possible in 9x19 without a slide spring so stiff that Magnus Samuelsson couldn't rack the slide.

You can't go wrong with a Walther 9mm in a P-5....

Walther prototyped the MP which looked like an oversize PP in 9x19 blowback.
Heavy slide and strong recoil spring were not enough and only a few were made.
They had tried the same idea earlier with the Model 6, which did not work, either.

One can shoot .380ACP in 9x18 Ultra pistol. It works. At least in Bernardelli pistol...
