I suppose you've already done some Google searches, and found things like these:

https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/the-wamo-powermaster-one-dangerous-gun/

https://www.smithandwessonforums.com/threads/wamo-powermaster-22-lr-pistol.115066/ (post #3 in particular)

Donald Simmons, a gunwriter I admired, did an article about post-WWII American single-shot 22 pistols that included the Powermaster, but I'll be darned if I can remember where it was published. It was in the 1970's or 1980's; I think Simmons died in the mid 90's.

I think I have the article, but I have a lot of books and clippings, so it may take a while to find it IF I remember to look. :(

Never heard of one, that’s neat . Sort of a High Standard-meets-Colt Huntsman look if you took away the slide cut out and tail at the rear of the slide.

Stay safe.

Wammo used to have little ads in the back of all the boy's magazines when I was a kid, but I never knew they made a gun.

Usually it was ads for slingshots, blowguns, etc.

Almost looks like a Marksman BB gun.

What's funny is when I read the title, the first thing to pop into mind was the Wham-O Powermaster...which was a cross bow.

Digging through the dusty alleys of my brain, I remember seeing and handling one at a gun show back in the late 60s...I thought it was branded Wamo (one "M") It was interesting, but I wasn't into single shot pistols at the time as I was looking for a S&W M-39

Did you ever find the Model 39? I am sometimes sorry I did not get one of those, but they were always expensive, and I wasn't a good enough shoot to justifiy a really high-end target centerfire pistol.

The M-39 was S&W's first DA/SA 9mm service pistol. The were so popular that the markup on them was almost as bad as on the Dirty Harry M-29.

You might be thinking of the M-52. It looked a lot like the M-39, except it had an inch longer barrel (5"), was SAO, and was chambered in .38Spl

Oh, hell, that's right. Man, if I were as smart as I wish I was, I would have had an M-52 long ago. Thanks for understanding what I meant instead of what I said.

I have a 150lb. crossbow from Wham-O.
