Finland's German allies during WWII captured several thousand M91/30s from the Soviets, and many of these were then sold/given to Finland. I have been told that these rifles may have both German (waffenampt) and Finnish (SA) acceptance marks on them. Anyone ever seen these?

It is a quite common practice for the few who reenact Finnish to use M91/30s in place of the more common M28 or M39. I had done Finnish in the late 90s and am thinking about getting back into it, but I wanted to have a more 'authentic' Finn M91/30.

I've owned several. There's a range of them from unmodified battlefield pickups with an [SA] stamp and nothing else to a full fledged M-30 Finn with Tikka barrel and birch potbelly stock. Plus a bunch of variations between them.

There are a fair number of them around. Check the collector's forum classifieds:

One with a waffenampt is going to be more difficult, but worth a try. I've seen Austrian marks more frequently on Finns, from the WWI stockpile Austria sold to the Whites.

I am looking for a non-mod, usually the Finns changed quite a bit - dont get me wrong I like Finns but they are pricier, and im hoping an 'unmodded' Russo-Finn M91/30 would go unnoticed.
