Has anyone seen the movie "Wanted" yet? It's not a bad movie, but the bit about curving bullets was a bit hard to take. Especially at the end when
Angelina Jolie curved one completely around a circular room. Sheesh! Any comments?

I'm waiting for somone to try it in real life, so I can see the news report and fall over laughing.

H088-

I said the same thing when I saw the commercials. Some fool is gonna see this movie, think they can curve a bullet, and wind up killing their dumb best friend that they managed to convince to stand in front of the target.

Well, I don't believe that anyone will be dumb enough to do that. I really don't. Nobody can be that stupid.

But if somebody does do it, then maybe the antis have a point or two...

I really don't like movies that show lots of silly, implausible gun stunts. It only hurts our cause.

A couple of years back, I heard a story about two Star Wars fans who filled fluorescent light tubes with some sort of flammable liquid, lit them on fire, and proceeded to have a "lightsaber duel" with them. Naturally, the tubes exploded, covering them both with flaming liquid. Both were hospitalized.

Trust me, people are that stupid.

No kidding. Look at the state of California. The voting population sent a robot with a combat-chasis to the governor's office!

Someday someone is going to push the wrong button and that debris from the future is going to kill everyone in sight.

Say what you want about the Kennedys, but they're not that foolish. How could Maria Shriver hope to re-program a killing machine with a little wedding cake! And when he finally does fip out over some stalled tax or finance bill, what are you going to stop him with? They don't feel pain, and they never stop.

Sheez, people are so stupid.

Does anyone think capital punishment should extend to extremely stupid people. I mean they draw up some very large laws and only the extremely stupid people in this world are subject to it.

Just a thought.

Person X tried to curve a bullet around his friend like Jolie, only destroying his friends windpipe. He will be charged with attempted murder and being a a dumb tool. In other news, Angelina Jolie adopted another kid....stay tuned for 24

lol

It was an entertaining movie.

and killing, what, 5 guys and herself, with that single bullet while it curves around the room. Maybe in a different universe with alternate laws of physics.:scrutiny:

Never underestimate the power of human stupidity. They are the only known life form whose intelligence is inversely proportional to the number of animals in the herd....:scrutiny:

I dunno... I'll bet a .22LR could do it!

(That was in jest; a vague reference to the guys who always speak of the .22 being the "deadliest" bullet because it will bounce around inside you, traverse your arteries, etc... I know they could, and I don't wanna get shot with one, but still...)

Movies like this just continue to further the image of guns as some kind of mystical, magical, untouchable, supernatural thing, and makes people fear the guns themselves instead of the people using them.

I already had enough trouble watching bottomless magazines, pinpoint accuracy from the hip, funky phyics, and the principle of evil marksmanship. Plus, I don't enjoy performances from those particular actors enough just to pay to see them look pretty on the screen.

You lost me when you said:

That's like going to Star Wars and saying, I thought it was not a bad movie, the Wookie's were ok, but the bit about the Deathstar was a bit hard to take.

lol.

Take it for what it's worth, you knew that's what the movie was going to be about when you went to see it.

My friend said it was an entertaining movie.

He also said "Get Smart" was hilarious. And he never says that.

Most action movies are pretty much animated comic books these days. You expect something else?

Don't be so uptight.

It works if you throw thow firearm while pulling he trigger, like fly fishing.
