Yeah...in the Corporate environment of southern California you really have to watch your 6. I'm currently at a major mortgage company that's listed on NYSE. The amount of women at this company is phenominal...but one wrong word or comment and you're gone. Trying real hard to not sound like I'm full of **** but I've got 4 women chasing me around right now. I'm scared to death one of them might see the other, call human resources and call in a complaint. Talk about shooting? No. I sanitize my car so if someone looks inside they dont see "Guns&ammo" or anyother simular publication.

When I attended UC Berkeley, probably the biggest name in the campus free-speech movement, where they even have a "Free Speech Cafe", the joke was you could say anything you wanted, as long as it was politically correct. Though it wasn't all bad. In a speech class I once gave a 6-minute anti gun-control talk, and it was well received by the class. The professor gave me an A, though I later found out he was a gun-owner as well.

Wow... I read through this... Makes me what to Go and Buy a .50 Cal Barret M82 and leagally register it in CA on my "active duty assult weapons permit" and then travel around with it in a locked case, shoot it at some open ranges and make darn sure to show it off to the LEO's. Just be cause I can.

As a Law Binding, Active Duty US Marine, who's combat wounded too by the way. I love to take my AR-15's 'out and about' with me, a pile of 30 round USGI mags for company and alot of ammo. I'm even trying to get my AK-47 brought out to CA.

I like the weather in Cali, but between the gun laws, Loud Homosexuals, bums, dirty air, no-speaky-english, high price of real-estate, People who think they 'deserve everything, but haven't done jack', idiot drivers, I'm out of here and back to the mid-west when my time expires in the Corps.

The Amount of AR-15's pileing up in this state is out rageous though, and even better the "fixed magazine" devices are getting pretty cool, if you drill and tap the magazine button, place a set screw in there, tighten her down, with a 10 round mag, the button is "fixed" not to operate, cross the boarder to AZ for some fun, remove the screw and 'borrow' some 30 rounders and you got a real AR again.

Don't know what the Commy State will do if they change the law on the AR-15's, BECAUSE SO MANY CRIMES HAVE BEEN COMMITED WITH THEM LATTELY SINCE THE DISCOVERY OF THE LOOP HOLE, lol, maybe we'll have alot of blood sheed, not that I'm advocateing the old phrase, "you can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead hands".

That's funny, I also work at a major mortgage company that is traded on the NYSE and all I ever talk about is guns... and I'm the only male in this particular department. In fact, I routinely show the women pictures and ask if they want to try shooting as a sport.

Those are hardly Cali exclusive, nor are they Cali exports. I seem to recall see plenty of all of the above in Colorado Springs, St. Louis, Atlanta, Seattle, and Houston, and most of those are places worth living in. Unless you just don't like big cities, in which case your gripe has nothing to do with California.
