I have been looking at EBay with the intentions of replacing see thru mounts with lower rings..I am currently waiting to see if a seller accepts my offer of $17 for a Weaver mount, and ring package .He listed it as $19 ,or best offer, and wants about $3 to ship it..I have to wait a couple days to see if he accepts the offer,so I may be commited to this deal, but after I placed my offer I started seeing these Weaver Pro-View rings .They run about $15 shipped. They don't use a base. They just screw to the reciever like the see-thru mounts.,only they are lower.I think they would probably look better than the Weaver rings on a convential Weaver base...These must not be very popular, because I never see them on anything..I assume the only drawback would be in the inability to quickly detach a scope..Have any of you used these Weaver Pro-View rings, and how do you like them?..Thanks

Those things? Ive never seen them before. They look like the old style weaver rings with the saddles, which were pretty good if you could get the scope aligned right...or lived with the reticle being a little crooked, which is usually what ended up happening when i used them.
Having the rings and base as one piece does look nicer IMO.

Thats the same ones that are selling for around $15 and free shipping on EBay,but the guy with the "Weaver scope mount system" took my offer of $17,so I was obligated to go that route..It's an old stock set all on a plastic covered card ,it consist of a one piece base, and a set of rings that have the top strap that hooks on one side, and screws down on the other..They are bad about denting scopes, but as long as I'm aware of that fact I can take care not to over tighten them.
