I was doing it with the dippers, Now im using the scale. I never really knew for sure what i was shooting though. It was just a guess on a chart some one posted volume weight of each shell with water. I never shot the same powder or the same speed powder.

I use the little preload charge tubes so when i shoot i dont need to weigh or measure anything at the range. I know this isnt the way they did it back then but im using substitutes they didnt use those either.

maybe when i grow up ill do it like they did back then.

I got away from using a flask or a horn for a few reasons. I prefer not to have that much powder on hand with me when i shoot. As you can tell im not smart enough yet for that. When you use an adjustable measure you either under fill it or you over fill it. When you over fill it you waste the powder. There is no way to get the powder into the adjustable measure without a flask or another tool.

Using the preload charge tubes i can leave all that stuff at home.

I usually take 100 preloaded tubes, usually 6 with 23 grains (hot load in red), 6 with swiss (black), 6 with goex (Black), 6 with conicals, 24-30 with what im testing (all by weight)

Ide have to have like 3-4 flasks or 3-4 pounds with me to try all this. I never usually have time to try everything but i want to lol
