had to get a pair of boots stretched a little,,,
so while i'm in there i notice a stack of American Rifleman mags off in the corner
naturally one thing leads to another and the next thing you know, the guy (74 yo) whips a .22 walther (don't remember the rest) out of his pocket for show and tell, complete with cci stingers
turns out he's a longtime benchrest shooter (still is), was a gunsmith prior to taking up shoe repair and will still repair a gun or two,,,has the tools right in his shoe shop
not only that but he starts telling me about his scoped .22 ruger target pistol that he can shoot really tight groups with off the bench,,,"gee, " i says, "i got one of those too!"
AND the november copy of AR was there so i could show him the write up on the cz 527 i just bought, it met his approval,,,
small world, eh?
AND (added later) WWII infantry vet to boot,,,no pun intended,,,
