what 380 is good?

I often carry the Baby Eagle. I would rather have had the Kahr P380, but I have never been able to find one to buy other than Gun Broker.

The Baby Eagle is very small, shoots very accurately at 7 to 10 yards. But it is a challenge to hold onto. the front and rear grip is smooth and shiney.

I like the Bersa 380's also and all that are of that size and shape, but they are too big for pocket carry.

BTW, Cabelas has had 380 in-stock for several weeks now. $19/box for Fiochhi.

Although the Bersa (top left) is a good pistol for me it is too large for pocket carry. The Micro Eagle opposite the Bersa, or the P-3AT below the Micro, or the Diamondback below the P-3AT which all fire the same round as the Bersa are much better suited for pocket carry.

The Micro and the P-3AT have been 100% for me. The Diamondback is too new for me to comment on it's reliability, but I have high hopes for it.

The Kahr PM9 below the Bersa is smaller than the Bersa and fires the much more powerful and usually less expensive 9X19 round.
The snub would be my last choice for carry.

Here's another vote for the Walther PPK and PPK/S models. The German-, French-, and Ranger-made (USA/Interarms) guns are all terrific and well worth your time to take a hard look at a proven design.

My PPK/S from S&W is a good gun. I pocket carry in the summer. My Beretta 84 is also excellent.

For IWB/OWB: Sig P232

It's a great mix of accuracy, thinness, light weight, and reliability. The sights are great for a small CCW pistol.

Here's my P232 with P230 grips on for maximum concealibility.

I don't want to insult anyones choice of guns, but I'm pretty sure no Hi Points or Bersa's are at the top of anyones good gun lists anywhere for any caliber. I understand its a matter of opinion, but come on.

Makes a good club if you runout of ammo.:)

+1 for the Bersa

I have owned one for a year now and have not been the least bit disappointed in it. You get a lot of features for a decent price. It's not the smallest .380 on the market but it has worked for me every time I shoot it.

I have had the Ruger LCP, the Keltec P3AT, the Bersa and the Sig P238. There is absolutely no comparison between the Sig and the others. My Sig has been 100% and it actually has sights (night sights at that). The trigger is 1000% better than any others I have fired and recoil is almost nonexistent.
The Diamondback is also working it's way onto my list.

Swiftak, I take it you read none of the other posts in this thread.. The Bersa seems to be quite respected. No one asked what is at the top of your "good gun lists", only what guns in 380 are "good."

I've got several hundred rounds (I reload) through my Bersa CC and it just keeps getting better. When I leave the house I don't pick up a Ruger, Taurus or even a Beretta, I pick up my CC. It's always in my front pocket.

I do plan on replacing it though. I keep hearing rumors of a 9mm Bersa Conceal Carry and if they ever hit the market I plan on having one.

The Colt Mustang, or the Government .380 are both great little pistols. I'd like to get my hands on the new Kahr P380 and see how it shoots. Problem is I own a PM9 so the .380 Kahr would be a nice to have, but don't really need it pistol... like many of the guns in my safe. :D

I carry a LCP and so far it has been a fine pistol. I think the Bersa 380s are great guns as well.

Thanks for the opinion SWIFTAK, you added a lot to the conversation. Now the OP has some useful information.

I have a 1983 W. German version of the P230 and it is tops. I currently have the LCP for pocket carry. I have had the Bersa and sold it. I had the Beretta 85 and while it was a beauty, it was too big for the caliber. I sold it also. My vote goes for the Sig-reliable 100% and very concealable.

My desire in this area was for very small and very moistrue proof. The Micro Eagle fit this criteria for me.

It jammed on the very first shot. But none in the 100 rounds since then. I like the sights, but have painted the front ramp "red" for better visibility.

I wanted a Karh 380 for this same carry purpose, but could not find one, and wanted it also as I intend to carry the PM9. Still, I am very pleased with my MDE.

I have had a Beretta 84fs and a sig 232 I like the sig. I think the beretta is better built but the sig is smaller
