What are some good 25 round 10/22 magazines for $20 or less

Haven't had any problems with the Butler Creek STEEL Lips mags. But since the new Ruger 25's are out, I'd rather pay a little more for those.

The Tactical Innovations TI 25 is the best 25rd magazine on the market. The Ruger 25rd magazine is the second best. Nothing else is worth fooling with.

If you see 10/22 mags for less than $20 you be better off saving your money and walking away. A 10/22 especially is only going to be as good as the mags you put in it. Cheap mags give cheap aggravating results.

I bought a Butler Creek "Hot Lips" mag. It's the only 25 round magazine I have and it sucks. I understand the metal lips models are better. Mine is at least good for failure drills.

CDNN runs the Bx-25s on sale regularly but not below $20 especially with shipping. I think $19.95 was the lowest I saw them but shipping put them over $20 each. There are some out there for less than $20 but they are probably not worth the hassle. I have a Butler Creek and it works okay but is more prone to problems than the factory mag. Now we need a good reloader for the factory mag.

The nice thing about the Ruger BX25 mags is that when they came out, Butler Creek and TI mags dropped their prices. I bought some of the steel lip BC mags from CDNN for about $13 last fall. The TI mags at $15 is a steal, I am tempted to buy a bunch of them.

+1 on everything above; you don't want ANY 10/22 magazines with plastic lips...and the best deal right now is the $22 Ruger BX25 mags at midwayusa.com

I don't really get all the hate on cheaper mags. I had 1 eagle creek mag give up after 15 years and thousands of rounds, but everything else I have tried seems to work just fine as long as you are using ammo your gun likes. my 10/22 won't run winchester wildcats no matter what mag I put them in. Federal bulk runs in any mag. but to each his own I guess. I've been pleased with $10 hi-cap mags.

I used to deal with butler creek junk mags....until I bought a pair of ruger BX25 mags. I will never buy butler creeks again.

Look at it this way. Is your shooting time lost by messing with cheap mag failures over the life of the magazine worth more than the $10 difference towards the cost of a good mag?

Another positive vote for the factory Ruger 25 round magazines. Watch for them to come on sale at Midway and grab a couple.

Having said that, I think I like the 10 round factory magazines better because they don't stick out of the gun and affect handling. Somehow the 25 round ones just cramp my style a little.

I have one of the BC "Hot Lips" and 2 of the BC Steel lips.

IMHO, the Hot Lips {Plastic} are OK for light use;however, the Steel Lips is the far superior of the 2.

Have not tried the Ruger BX-25...can't find one locally..the shelves for them are ALWAYS empty.

dont waste your money on anything but the factory mags, youll tear the hide off your fingers loading the butler creek steel lips mags unless you have a loader
