just curious what folks are doing, planning and why

Actually tried to find one...refused to play 300 bucks for a stripped lower. The price is way out of line for anything I'd pay for an AR.

i made myself a 6.5 grendel from the rifle kit I got from J&T sales
Hey, same here. Have had mine out for function check and barrel break in but haven't got to shoot groups yet how about yours? What barrel did you go with?

You forgot "profiteering by charging $250 for what I paid $89 for, suckas!"

I had one already but picked up another after the election (RRA for $135) and installed a stock and a parts kit. I've got a complete AR in 5.56 and really don't know if I'll ever do anything with the other complete lower.

none purchased since the election - bought a few in the months leading up to the election.

i put lpk's and 6-position stocks in/on the lowers, but other than that i haven't done anything w/ them and really don't have any immediate plans to do anything w/ them.

I've been stocking up on ammo as the wallet has allowed -- I already have 3 ARs -- but like jello -- there's always room for more :D

I put a LWRC 14.7 M6A2 upper on my one lower....waiting on my Tax Stamp for the other so I can put a LWRC 10.5 M6A2 upper on it. Gonna be sweet :D

the one stripped lower I have left will be a bohica 50bmg soon,.
have an Ace skeleton stock and a dpms lpk soon as the upper arrives. 20 minutes later it will be a rifle.

I never really understood the need for multiple ARs, I have one "do-all" that works just dandy.

BUT I also only make garbage money each month and am a poor, starving college kid. Maybe when I'm in the real world I'll buy more toys!

I'm a poor college kid as well. Well, actually, not so poor, and about done with college. But, I bought an LRB lower at the show (got the last one, wanted 3 or 4) last week. Just bought a complete upper from AR15-kits.com. Gonna put it together and hide it.

I bought one for $99 and am sitting on it.

Holy smokes dude! Where'd you find one that cheap??!? I went to Saxet show in San Anton a month ago and the cheapest ones were $300! I don't want another one, but my buddy is looking to scoop one up in case the AWB goes back into effect.

Bought my Double Star Lower for $120 OTD at a local gun show. And ordered my Del-Ton Mid-lenght kit later that week. About 2 months later.....got it all put together with just a GG&G flip up rear sight. It's my first AR.....couldn't be happier...

I bought 2 stripped S&W lowers for $130 each 2 weeks ago and I'm just going to sit on them for now. I have one Stag lpk left that I might throw in one of them.

Stashing most of them. I was able to successfully rally some friends into participating in several "group buys" right before the election. Between all of the lowers purchased, none of them have yet to be completed. I think of them as $100 shares of stock that just continue to increase in value.

Anyone have any good leads on rifle kits? Everyone seems to have ridiculous lead times.

I have already turned mine into two complete rifles. One was a Stag lower that now has a Stag LPK and 6 position stock. It is sporting a 14.5" LMT upper with an LMT M-16 BCG.

The other was a JLD lower that has a DPMS LPK in it. The upper is a 16" midlength, receiver is a Colt, the barrel is a Sabre Defense, and the BCG is an LMT M-16.

dang, kentucky! that's an impressive list of parts to find in this market!

you shooting them? or just putting away complete guns for a rainy day?

I completed mine and it's sitting in a box with the accessories
that will go on the new upper that I'll purchase some day...

Ha ha! What can I say, I was a junkie for a pretty good while there, hanging out on the ARFCOM forum and searching that Elite Deal Seeker" for parts several times each day :)

I have shot them both a little, neither one are one of my primary rifles right now, and I have stored them both at a relatives house while we are showing ours to sell. I have about 150 rounds through each and they shot well flawlessly. I only have about 50 yards that I can shoot at my house, so no major accuracy testing yet, but both are accurate enough for their purpose.

I picked up a Stag stripped lower, then fell on a NIB RRA LPK and RRA 6-pos stock so I had to throw them together.

Next thing I knew I was trading a laptop for a complete flat top upper with BUIS, a bushmaster barrel, chromed bits, tacticool hand guard, and a few other goodies. The smith putting it all together is even going to fit/tune everything as part of the package :)

I think you can still get the superior arms stripped lowers for under $100 at AIM.
