What Are Your AWB "Panic Guns?"

If an actual bill gets submitted I will pick up a bullpup, an AUG or FS2000. I was waiting on the Tavor's debut in the US, but that may have just been stymied.

Nothing. If I come across a decent deal and have a few spare bucks I'll buy something.

Yup. I am all set, thank you very much. Having been set on gun that would be high on the "ban list," I've recety been more into guns that will be less likely to be banned, or at least the last ones to go. Pump shotguns, lever rifles, and revolvers. All very effective tools, and all fly right under the radar.

Sorry for the gratuitous post but the last one made it 666 for me. Enough bad juju in my world. Joe

Then again I still have toys and parts I haven't touched since before the AWB existed.
This is funny because I have a few high capacity magazines I bought in 1993/4 and they are still sitting in the safe, new in original packaging. IIRC, one of my Norinco MAK-90 guns from '94 is still unfired. It was $199 NIB back then. I don't remember ever firing that one. I may have to pull it out of the safe and check. LOL

Im currently seeing Piers Morgan get his panties in a knot because he found out what a bumpfire stock is..showing YouTube vids n all

Hahaha have a link to him losing his ****? I wanna see!

I don't know who the heck he thinks he is immigrating here to push his anti-gun views down our throats. If he hates guns so much, and is so scared, then why doesn't he just pack his bag and immigrate back to the UK? No one is stopping him...

I am not buying a darn thing right now, particularly since I live in NYS and our governor is trying to ram through draconian gun laws. We may not be able to keep what we currently own! They even are talking about banning magazines that have over 7-round capacity.

I don't think they can even legally do that. That would pretty much effectively ban handguns.

I made the decision to purchase my T&E Colt LE901 7.62 rifle. I also was luckily able to order one of the Constant Carry Carbines from DoubleStar in time. I had a chance to handle this ultralight carbine (roughly 5 1/2 pounds) during a filming for SHOT SHOW TV, was immediately impressed and decided to buy one. Glad I was able to!

Otherwise, I'm in pretty good shape on both guns and mags. I may do a little "thinning of the herd" after Christmas to offset the purchase costs.

Don't be surprised. Here on the left coast, the state of california has a list of 'approved' pistols, and magazines are limited to 10 round capacity. Plus the AR's mag release have to be equipped with a bullet button. This could all be easily modified or changed with the demo majority state congress and gov.

We are fighting a losing battle here.

Back in 94 I bought 6 AK's and a dozen SKS's in cosmoline. Now here we go again and I'm down to 2 AK's and an SKS. I guess now would be a good time to sell one of the AK's.

i dont need to order lowers... luckily im not an AR15 guy :D... however, there are some lowers to other rifles ive always wanted to build.. but.. best to just focus on having atleast one quality semi automatic i can rely on.. so all i did was buy a bulgarian AK74 kit with the intentions of converting it to 5.56mm later (love the AK74, just not a 5.45x39mm fan if that makes sense)

After purchasing three weapons in the past few months (S&W X-frame 460, Tikka T3 in .270win, and Remington R15 VTR SS Varmint), I can't really say that I am a "panic buy" type of person. I can say that when I realized that there was a rush on, I did accelerate a particular purchase that I was originally looking at making after Christmas/New Years (the R15). I will also say that what was on the shelf at the LGS, and the fact that a particular rifle was on sale had something to do with what I ended up buying. I was looking at getting an AR-platform predator rifle in .204, but bought one in .223 simply because it was on sale, and there were no .204's sitting on the shelves. I figured what-the-heck, there may be nothing on the shelves in a couple of weeks (as it turns out, the shelves were bare in a couple of days!!!), and I could always make a cartridge swap if I don't really don't like the performance of the .223. So, yeah... I bought it a couple of weeks earlier than I was planning. Does that count as "panic buying"?

I'm buying a old wooden boat for duck hunting. It's not in very good condition, but it is cheap. I thnk I have found a good duck hunting spot in some really deep water with a muddy bottom.
Any body want to go duck hunting with me? We'll need shot guns, rifles for defense against alligators, and I never go anywhere without a CCW or three.

I actually don't have an AR-15 yet, will probs pick up a cheap one.

Best of luck to you. Right now, you might get a cheap one, but you won't get an inexpensive one! :neener:

I think things will calm down a bit here shortly though. Hopefully I'm right...

I panicked and bought a thousand spp's. All that's been in stock for a while were magnum spp's, they finally had '1' brick in the store, and I was feeling greedy.

And I bought a 4lbs jug of Unique, instead of my usual 1lbs, mainly because the 1lbs jugs were marked at 29.99, and the 4lbs jug was 79.99.

Any recommendations? I've heard some companies are just terrible in regards to quality.

No panic rifles for me this round.
last round I did pick up an AUG A3 but with prices as crazy as they are I am thinking of selling mine off to get some $$$

There must be a less volatile hobby out there

I'd recommend determining exactly what you want that rifle to do, then looking and asking on the rifle forum.

Stay away from anything that says "Vulcan" or "Hesse" though. Seriously.

Nothing for me. But, I picked a hell of a time to start building a 300 AAC Blackout. I knew I should of ordered the lower sooner.

Oh well, I have the barrel at least. Might as well turn in the paperwork for the suppressor so I can at least purchase it by next Christmas............;)

Not panicking..just want a 15th gun (weird I kno). I'm thinking of getting a DDLES 9mm AR with a slider stock, Converted UMP 45, Kriss Vector, or a converted G36..thats tge ascending order as far a price..just don't know what to get
