I've been after a NIB West German or German stamped slide P226 and an early Taurus PT92 for years. I seem to miss them by hours on the different forum classifieds. Invariably when I excitedly click on a for sale thread someone else has already snatched them. Out of curiosity, what are your grails?

NIB 1977 9mm Colt Combat Commander. That was my first Colt. I foolishly sold it in search of a .45.

I did just find a 1977 .45 Colt Combat Commander in excellent condition. Going keep looking.
I have kept a stash of cash set aside for this for years. I keep adding to it because when I do have a sighting the price keeps going up. I think this going to be one of those guns that I am going to just pay what I must to get.

At this point, short of the unrealistic ("$500 WW2 1911s, crate of 10") I'm pretty much set.

My last two were getting a Broomhandle (found a 30s commercial Bolo shooter that still had a bore left) and the Vector 89K I couldn't afford when I was ill for the year or so it was available commercially. The Vector really doesn't count much as a pistol, but it's one until the SBR stamp comes back any day now.

I'm at an obscene level in my collecting though, there's nothing left to do but shoot the few dozen I've got, not that there's anything wrong with it.

With enough effort, you can probably get anything you want with enough time and searching - the net's made it a lot easier than when I started buying them.

Since I'm a Sig addict, most of my "grails" are Sigs.

My first Sig grails where a set of STs (without the tail :barf: ) with Nill grips.
I was lucky enough to put them together.

Next is a set of stamped slide factory nickel Sigs.

A 25 auto that turns into a 44 mag when you pull it out of your pocket.

-Colt Python, 6" (any finish)
-Original CZ75 (w/ short rails)
-Phillips & Rogers Medusa 47
-Mateba Unica 6 auto-revolver
-Webley Mk. IV
-S&W 586-7 6"

I know I would only need money and patience to find and acquire these, but I currently have neither...

My one true Holy Grail of pistols is a P7M7.

On my list of "Do I want enough to spend the dough?":
SIGP210
Mateba 6" .357
Artillery Luger with all components
GyroJet pistol & carbine + 1000 rds of ammo

- S&W Model 27
- S&W 940 (9mm J-Frame)
- Sig P239 SAS in .40 S&W
- Ruger SP101 .327 Fed Mag

I'd love to find a 70 series or pre-70 series Commander in 9mm. I'd prefer a lightweight, but I'd take a steel frame Commander too if it was in 9mm.
