Thanks for all the glowing reviews guys! In case you are wondering, I own RMR and if you ever need anything feel free to email or PM me on here. I don't hang out on this sight as much as I used to but I still try to get here at least once or twice a day. It all depends on how busy we are. Filling orders comes first!

thanks for this thread..I was just looking for a place to buy 140 gr vld Bergers for my 7mm.... so where ary you guys buying Bergers from???

Jake is sincere when he said he will return your PM or email. He even helped me with load development data when I was unsure if I should use jacketed or lead info. A top notch guy doing a top notch job supplying us with top notch bullets.

I've used RMR and precisiondelta.com. Precision use to have quite the wait time...don't know how they are now. Note that Precision only has jacketed bullets, and use to be one of the least expensive sources for a jacketed bullet. RMR has recently got some jacketed offerings, but their plated bullets are all I've shot. All I've loaded/shot from either company have been fine.

That just cinched me to buy some bullets from RMR, when the owner actually hangs out on a site and pays attention to the consumers.

I'm a big fan of Bayou http://www.bayoubullets.net/
I had the same experience as some others with Xtreme, 11 days or more for delivery. Used to be good, but now not so much.
I really like the HiTek coated. You can load them a lot lighter than plated and get the slide to operate.

Another good experience with RMR here. Getting ready to place another order actually.

I like Bayou as well, very quick to ship. Precision Delta, at least over the past month, has had no wait time.

RMR is, well, RMR. Order on a Saturday, and they somehow show up Tuesday :)

I don't see any discount code anywhere for RMR.
Discount code for RMR is thehighroad5 and you must type it in the order comment box along with your THR ID.

RMR also run promotions occasionally on their facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/rmrbullets/

Reloading for my 9 and 45, for plinking purposes as of right now.

I just got into reloading, for my first run of things I went over to Cabelas and picked up what they had - mainly Berrys bullets.

I am guessing there are better deals out there, what is the best bang for the buck?
For low cost plinking bullets, it's hard to beat plated bullets.

But not all plated bullets are same as they vary in plating thickness, lead/alloy core hardness, sizing and bullet nose shape/ogive. Typically, "regular plated" bullets average .004" thickness copper plating while "thick plated" bullets have .010" and thicker copper plating.

In my experience, if I pushed regular plated bullets past mid-range jacketed load data, accuracy started to fall but with thick plated bullets, I could use jacketed load data and maintain accuracy. Another issue with plated bullets is softness or hardness of lead/alloy core. If too much taper crimp is used, the softer core will squish and brass spring back will decrease neck tension and cause bullet setback when the bullet nose slams on the feed ramp. RMR's Hardcore Match plated bullets have 11-12 BHN lead alloy core which helps to maintain greater neck tension over plated bullets with softer cores, especially for 115 gr bullet with shorter bullet base sized larger at .356".

I am using RMR HM plated bullets as my designated carbine load bullets to lower reloading cost over jacketed bullets while maintaining acceptable level of accuracy on this thread - http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=799231

If you're willing to go with coated lead, Bayou and SNSCasting are my two favorites. For lead, RimRock Bullets has some very good products. For plated I go with Xtreme.

I too am a fan of both RMR and MBC. Both Jake at RMR and Dave at MBC are very helpful people.

I didn't know we had a discount code for RMR, so thanks for that info.

Another vote for RMR. I've ordered thousands of bullets and always been happy. I once gave them the wrong address and they promptly sent it back out to the correct address.

Since I haven't seen it here yet, I also recommend Montana Gold bullet. They make good products, and sell in bulk at good prices.

Pietro Beretta,
If you want to PM me your address I will be happy to send you some samples of 9mm and .45 RMR bullets to try.
