What caliber/ammo to penetrate tactical thong?

wow, I dont know if I could have taken them seriously. I feel like I would have just lauged.
I understand using pantyhose because it actually covers youre whole face but this is just silly.
I dont think you need any caliber. A good slap to the head should have been sufficient.

They don't want to be recognized but that tatoo can be traced almost like a fingerprint.... idiot robbers!
I don't know any agency that doesn't take pictures of tattoos when they book suspects. I know of several crimes that have been solved that way. I always said I arrested more stupid people then truly evil ones.

Thong you very much for sharing this. Just as enjoyable as the robber who used duct tape to wrap his head with just before he tried to hit a liquor store. His efforts weren't as successful.
I bet if you asked anyone in that store what they looked like the only response would be, "I dunno, they had thongs on their heads!" Nobody would be looking at your face to be able to ID you, they would be staring at the brightly colored thong on your face. Of course being caught on camera doesn't really help this theory. Maybe, just maybe they are smarter than we give them credit for... but probably not!

...Fake tattoo? Seems a bit obvious to cover your face, and leave such an identifying mark uncovered--unless it's not real. A couple of Ko-hi-noor pens and the right ink, and you got an identifying mark that washes off after the crime...

From what I read in other articles the robber had a tatoo on each arm, the cross in the the photo and a "tribal" tatoo on the left arm. The use of word "tribal" makes me think these are american indians.
At the beginning of the video, one of the idiots looks into the store through the glass door without a mask/thong and gives a decent look at his face. Obviously the police or probably the media thought it was just too damned funny to circulate the thong photos and the not the face photo.
They also thought it was too funny to mention that the cashier got roughed up pretty good.
So aside from being idiots and thieves, they are ***holes too.
But I agree, it is a funny story.

Wow. Hilarious, but still too close to home.
"Tribal" in tattoo parlance refers to stylized geometric patterns, and is not generally related to an individuals membership or lack thereof in relation to an actual tribe IRL, although it may be intended to show a personal resonance or affinity.
