What did you shoot today?

Nothing. I shot nothing. I went to the range and it had about 7-8 people there and they looked to be doing a class of some sort for handguns. I wanted to shoot handguns and rifles so I turned around and left....:(

Today I took my Black Mamba and my Heritage Rough Rider to the range. Talk Black Mamba On Grill.jpg Black Mamba On Grill.jpg Rough Rider 1.jpg about a difference in actions.

l only fired 150 rounds in the Black Mamba. I forgot my McFadden Ultimate Clip Loader so I had to load my mags one bullet at a time. I normally shoot at least 300 rounds in an hour but I got 150 out today and was happy at that.

I'm slowing down and making my shots count. Accuracy was very acceptable using CCI Blazer 40 grain bullets. They are my Go-To load, giving me the best groups out of all my .22s.

I then shifted to the single action Heritage Rough Rider. I picked it up about a year ago for just over a hundred bucks. That included two boxes of CCI Quiet, the only ammo they had in the store at the time.

I enjoyed shooting the RR. Nice and slow but very accurate. I kept the target at 10 yards and kept all my groups into 2.5 - 3 inches. For me that's pretty good.

I'm going to shoot this gun more often. It was a blast.

CZ PCR/ 75 D (9x19mm), about 120 rds. on steel plates.
Identical type seen in Remarks # 855.

Imported CSA VZ-58 (7.62x39), about 100 rds., on empty juice bottles on the berm.
Identical type seen in remarks # 860.

My regular buddy brought a Sig Sauer USA carbine (with an OEM mag.) in 9x19 mm, with a small scope.
Cool gun.

Third Gen S&W 908, in 9mm. Despite having -- only -- 3 digits, it's a 3rd. Gen.
All-metal, but not heavy.

Very nifty, totally reliable single-stack.

——Be willing to pay a good bit for an OEM mag. The 3913 and 3914 should use the same mags.
Oh,,,this photo was borrowed. If this is not "gratis", my credit card # is ready.:scrutiny: to rent this photo.

It was yesterday.
21 degrees as I got to my range at 9 AM.

I got some new sabots for my Ithaca 12 ga and shot a 4 inch group a 100 yards. While not the best that SG has done ( Remington copper solids), it is deer worthy.

I also ran 2 ladder loads.
One for my 7mm Mag using 131gr Hammer Hunters and IMR 4340 and the other was using 161 gr Hammers and also 4340 in my Tikka.300 WM

Was 32 degrees when I left.

Pics later. Hot tub is waiting

27hand: If you have a gun which is well-manufactured, with very good quality control,

I'll shoot it in +5* F (with no wind). or 104 * F.

During 33 years of frequent "business layovers" up north (via our MSP and DTW hubs) I always took the clothing to allow jogging outside: Bismarck, Grand Forks, Duluth, Grand Rapids (not so cold), Buffalo, Rochester NY etc.

I must be a wuss. Under 50 and I'm at the indoor range. Sunday's Steel Challenge match should start at just over 50 and be 70 by end of day.

Even in Phoenix, when it's that cold we have to bundle up. You can tell the snowbirds because they are wearing shorts and short sleeve shirts. I'm in a parker, gloves and hand warmers.

I am trying to get used to shoot with the sling and no shoulder stock until the paperwork is approved. I have played around with the different apertures of the gun today. I am not really sure if it were four or five rounds at 15 yards with that setting but it is promising.
