What Do You Have In The Hopper?

Marriane does great work. Her father Russ was a great guy. My Colt 1911a1 was done by him. I learned a lot from him as well. We used to go to dinner after the Cleveland OGCA shows. He died two weeks after we went to dinner. Marianne Carniak took over and does nice work. I am thinking of another 1911 from her.

There's a S&W 586 waiting for at my gunsmith's, and as soon as I get my money to the seller, there'll be a 2nd model Colt Detective Special on the way (I've GOT to stay off the auction sites!).

Since I normally shoot S&W's, the only custom work I need is a new pair of grips from Roy Fishpaw every six months.

There is another gun I've bid on, but I probably won't get it; too good, too much time left.

I have a used Sig P220 on layaway at my local shop and I'm slowly accumulating parts to build an AR15. Just don't tell my wife - she thinks I'm saving for wood floors.

(actually I'm doing that too - she'd kill me otherwise)

I am very close to finally picking up a Ruger SP 101. I'm on the look out for a .357 2.25 barrel. I haven't decided if I'll get the bobbed hammer or not. (I just LOVE hammers! Revos look funny without them...)
Once I get the gun, I will probably get the trigger slicked up a bit, and get a night sight on the front, along with a nice IWB holster and possibly new grips...

Maybe next week...

I picked up a Springfield Champion a little while back. Tuned on it and got it running good.

Now I'm accumulating different caliber "uppers" for it.

Currently have:

45acp
38 Super
.22lr

Have most of the parts for 9mm. Looking at 400corbon and others. I the slide for 40S&W also. I have no idea why I'm doing this other than I think its cool. I rarely shoot anythiing other than 45acp.

I'm saving my ducats to buy myself a sho-nuff real double rifle in a serious caliber like .458 or so. Right now, I'm shooting my .308 O/U and enjoying the hell out of it. :D

I am also having some work done to my SA 1911 by Marianne. Just met her for the first time. Also having work done on a pistol for the first time. I heard great things about her and it is close to home. I am looking forward to the end result. Hard chroming by Tripp, melt job, trigger work, mag well, new front night sight, etc. :)

Ted Yost has my Delta Elite. Actually, Virgil Tripp has it now, Ted has finished all the work, just waiting on the Cobra Chrome. :D

Looking at getting a Sig 228 as a present to myself for getting to senior year of college.

A nice 9mm 1911. Can't decide between getting a basic Trojan and having it customized a bit, ordering a special Trojan from the STI Custom Shop, getting an SV/Infinity done just the way I like it, or getting another Briley Advantage since I like mine so much.
Choices, choices, choices!

Richard, let me see a pic of your Mak when it is done. I have never seen any of her non-1911 work. If it it anything like my 1911 work, it will be flawless. As for my projects, a 625 on order, just picked up a 940 and 642 (all S&W) I have an FAL to finish, and my 1919a4 is almost done. I am thinking about better sights on my CZ52 and I am looking for night sights on my CZ75. I need a delta ring to finish off another AR15 clone. Oh, and I am waiting on a replacement trigger housing for the subgun. That is it right now.

As of two weeks ago I'm gun satisfied. I was on the prowel for the past seven months looking for a S&W model 696 and finally found one for $350. :D Hammer mounted pin and no zit above the cylinder release. Happy Happy Joy Joy!!!!

I have actually hit the phase where I am unloading. Over the past few months, I have given my son, a Beretta 92, a Springfield 1911A1 ( much modified), two S&W .357. a Taurus 85CH, and a couple of Ruger single Action .45 Colt.

I just dont shoot them anymore, and he will get them some day, so why not now? There are still a pile in the safe. I guess I don't have a acquisition or project on the horizon at all now.

First time around on this thread I said I had Sig P220 in the hopper. Well that turned into a USP 45 which is now in my bedroom safe.

Currently in the hopper is Win94 or similar lever action in 30-30, one that has been around a while and has some personality.

Currently waiting for my 1 handgun a month ration to expire so I can get a Beretta Tomcat. I also want a 642 to go with my 442. That way I can have a Good (642) and Evil (442) set. Lastly, I think I am ready to add a midbore K frame to my brace of Smiths.

Well depending on how well my wife does in her hand gun saftey class were down to a selection of;
SIG SP2009
SIG SP2340
Glock 19
Glock 23

I'll leave the selection up to her, after she becomes more familiar with the calibers, what she feels most comfortable with and what fits her the best..
I figure either way, I get a new pistol to shoot too, and a new shooting partner also:)

I have all the guns on my "must have" list and about all on my "wish list." I have a new CZ PCR that I want to get a trigger job on. I have a CZ 550 Varmint .22-250 I'm going to glass bed. The one gun left on my "wish list" is a .223 Bushmaster but if TSHTF I have an AK-47 and several cases of ammo.

Once the website I maintain for my friend's gunshop starts to bring in $$, I'm supposed to be compensated for my work by getting "free" guns.

My first selection will be a Kimber Eclipse Target. If things with the site go really well, I'd like to add a Springfield M1A to my list of "compensation."

Right now, I'm waiting for my Colt 1991 to get back from Arizona where the Novak Xtreme Duty sight is being repaired (adjustment screwhead sheared off during competition).

If I can keep making my workouts, when October rolls around I'll be buying a Colt 1991 with the new roll marks. Stainless steel, attractive lettering, and a milspec look that's timeless. You just can't beat that!
