Mainly a curiosity thing. All I have is a SAR-1, but want pretty much very other one out there (except the AR-15... :neener: ). I'd just like to know how the numbers add up as far as those owned by everyone else here. :)

Bushmaster M17S, had a Century FAL. Saving for an Oly Arms PCR-8 Magnum in .243 WSSM, an Alexander Arms .50 Beowulf, and an Oly Arms PCR-10 10mm, then if I ever hit the lottery I'm waffling between a semi-auto M2HB and a Barret Mod 82. Edit: SKS? I have one but don't consider it an EBR, I want a Garand but don't consider them EBRs either. Too much wood ;)

CETME(currently being dressed up as a G3) and SKS. Might eventually get my hands on an M1A or FAL. Perhaps even an AR. But that's a bit off.

AG-42B Ljungman and Beretta BM-59 are missing...

Although the latter would fall under M1 Garand. ;)

Oh, hell, in case you guys don't remember what an AG-42B Ljungman is, let me help you out. It's the Hakim's more graceful predecessor:

I have a CETME and a SKS.

I am currently negotiating with my wife to add one more rifle to my collection, as a "hunting rifle", but it will probably be a EBR as well.

Not enough

A CMP Garand, SA SG
An SVT-40, Tula 1943
An SKS, Chinese

The Garand shoots flawlessly every time. But it's just not possible to aim a rifle with peep sights. How can you tell where the center of a circle is when there's nothing to line the post up with?
I've only had the SVT-40 for a short while. We're still working through some issues with failures to cycle and stove-piping. It's accurate, though, and loud as hell.
The SKS... well, it's an SKS. Works every time, but the cartridge is kind of wimpy.

It's too bad I'm still stuck in CA. It would be cool to have a CETME.

Six AK variants, three in 7.62x39, one in .308, two in 12ga.

Two SKS's, one Russian and one Yugoslavian.

A Kel-Tec SU-16 (my only poodle-shooter).

Also 6 AK variants, 4 in 7.62x39 (2 SAR-1's, 1 WASR-10, 1 NHM-91), 1 in 7.62x54R (PSL/FPK/SSG-97), 1 in .22lr (Romanian AKT-98).

One SKS (Romanian), an SA M-1 Garand, a Czech Vz-52 (7.62x45) and a Vz-52/57 (7.62x39), round out my EBR/MBR/Battle Rifle/Semi-Auto Rifle line-up.

I've owned a couple AR's and a couple other SKS's over the years, as well as a CETME. I'm also thinking of adding an AK chambered in .308 to the list, either a Saiga or a VEPR (most likely the SAIGA for budgetary reasons), as well as a Saiga 12 gauge.

I have

A DPMS AR-15 clinton model
plan to get another AR in the no ban configuation

Mmm, the SKS and CETME combo seems rather common. Perhaps we all share a miserly streak? Or maybe just a low budget.

The Garand shoots flawlessly every time. But it's just not possible to aim a rifle with peep sights. How can you tell where the center of a circle is when there's nothing to line the post up with?

Do you take a perverse pleasure in beating dead horses? ;)

AR15 with all the evil fetures (except the greande launcher), Thompson 1927-A1, looking at a WASR-10...

I currently own 2 Yugo 59/66 SKS, a yugo 59, and a ar-15 in .223. I am adding a saiga 12 and a saiga 7.62x39 as soon as I find one locally at a price I like.

Three SKS's - two Yugo 59/66's and a Norinco. Everything else has been sold or sporterized.

Quote "it's just not possible to aim a rifle with peep sights."

Your brain will center the front post for you. Also because you are looking through a aperture, that leaves only two distances for your eye to try to focus on at the same time instead of three. Another positive aspect is that looking through a peep sight improves your depth of field, just like a camera. The peep sight mounted on the rear of the reciever also makes the sight radius longer, improving accuracy, The only negitive aspect I have noticed is that N.M. sights with hood and small aperture can be hard to see through in low light, and the "ghost ring" type are not as percise, but they are still more precise than a mid mounted open rear sight.

You must be doing somthing wrong, or you might have a vision disorder.
