I can relate to this question. For years, a S&W 686 .357 has been number one or two on my list of guns to buy. In fact, if I could only own one handgun, that might be the pick. Maybe, probably. But every time I get a little extra money, the .357 seems to be in the number two position on the list. Still don't own one. Yet.
An M-1-A ,I've wanted one for years and have yet to spring for one!
But there are a few more that I can tack on the list as well, and
there's at least one class III on that one!
I save and try not to buy but there are so many good deals that I can't
pass up so my cash gets diverted from it's original goal, the last one
that I truly focused on was my AR-15, I got exactly what I wanted, BUT
it was tough passing up a lot of other stuff!!
Well I would have to agree with pripri8ter on the Colt . I have always wanted both a 4" python and 5" anaconda . Does anyone have any reports on the pythons elites ? Are they as good as the older pythons ?? Also have always wanted a M1A1 too but keep spending my money on AR's .
I have guns on my wish list just as much as the next guy, but I wouldn't say that any one of them is being specifically "put off".
What IS put off is the accessories I would like to get for the guns I do have...
Every time I get ready to buy an SIR and Aimpoint for my bushy superlight, it occurs to me that I could just about get an entire new gun for the same money.
Not so much a gun but the conversion to let me get decent cap mags in my HK USC.
I keep finding things I really need when I've got enough cash saved up. Besides, maybe I'll be able to make mags for it someday if I learn how:banghead:
As one other poster mentioned, with me it's mostly the accessories. But, that being said, in proper reply to the question, there is one gun that I do lust for & have for many years. But I don't own one. I do want an English stocked, 20 gauge O/U, 26" barreled upland game gun. The Citori or Beretta would fill the bill quite nicely, thank you.
I've had my heart set on a Kimber CDP compact for quite some time now. I keep telling myself I'm saving up for it. Then I set foot in a shop, and something else follows me home. Most reason was the P239 in 9mm.
