Next to her nightstand: Bulgarian SLR-95, 30 rounds 7.62x39 MagSafe, another 30rds of Winchester soft point. Also seen elsewhere on this forum.

At the foot of the bed: Crabby-ass little female Weiner-Spaniel. She'll rip the Achilles Tendons out of anybody she thinks deserves it.

next to my alarm clock is a colt 1911, 10 round mag (yeah, i know, it looks goofy, but it is functional) cocked & locked. under the bed is a rem 870 youth 20 gauge. a little extra ammo is close at hand. the rest of the ammo is locked up in the garage, far away from my gun cabinet, which is nowhere near my bedroom.

my primary defense, however, is a pair of big, loud dogs... nobody gets into my house unannounced.
