What gun or guns do gun laws keep you from having?

"What gun or guns do gun laws keep you from having?"

none

but I would probably have a silencer on something (most likely some locked breech rifle) if it wasn't for the absurd rules on that... which can be had for enough $$$, license fees, but just not that serious about it

that always did strike me as a special weirdness, "prohibiting" silencers, which would plainly be a safety benefit to all on the range line
extra benefit to me, if the guy next to me on the line was rearranging my hairdo with each round of 30-06 a bit quieter

I would like to get an AK-74 for plinking. And mags that hold more than 10 rounds would be nice.

My dream would be to get an MG-42 with a truckload of 8mm already in belts.

Pretty much anything fun (full auto) is restricted by price (to me) more than the paperwork. OK allows about anything I know of.

I would probably buy a suppressor, as they are relatively cheap, but the paperwork and tax stamp has kept me from the bother.

For gun laws, I would honestly say,

All guns no matter what, .50 and under for every citizen 21 and older.

Minor should be allowed to own after a gun safety class.

18-21, Own all rifles, shotguns, and pistols, but no carrying pistol concealed until they pass a thorough sanity test, background check, and parents have to say their son is okay for it.

50 years ago, there should have been absolutely no gun laws, but honestly with all of the parents who don't know how to raise their kids, and don't give them attention, have turned out a lot of sociopaths and kids who have bad morals.

I honestly don't see why you could ever need anything higher than .50 cal anyway, and explosives in general. I could understand dynamite though for the ****s and giggles.

I am just saying those are what gun laws should be for KIDS. If you haven't noticed, teenagers are the most mentally/ emotionally unstable of all age groups.

We had access to full auto before 1986. People did not buy them because of the cost to maintain and feed. People mostly want full auto because it is forbidden fruit and don't realize how much it costs to run one.

As usual it sounds like I've made things simpler than they actually are ... That's what I get for reading "The Poor Mans guide to ..." books

I was thinking that with a SOT you could just modifiy the full auto trigger box of HK's and register it ... dirll a third hole using a jig on AK's, AR's and use existing full auto parts ... didn't think about having a full blown machine shop.

Maybe all I would need is a class II dealer license ... and get some post-ban full autos.
Either way I could rent out full auto toys at gun shoots, and sell the ammo loaded in my mags ... and have part of the rental agreement an iron clad waiver ... but again, I'm probably making things too simple.

You are oversimplifying things again. Dealers are allowed to transfer MGs. Most of those are expensive transferable MGs between private citizens. In order to own a cheap post sample, dealers need a demonstration letter from a police department that states the MG will be used for demonstrations to that LEA. The dealer has to get rid of that MG after he is no longer in business. ...and good luck with that when the government is and will continue to give free M16s to any LEA that requests them.
,
There is no license that let's you build a personal collection and play with cheap MGs. You have to be conducting a legitimate business. If you try to abuse that license, they will nail you.

People at MG shoots are private owners and manufacturers. If you want to rent MGs, you need to open up your own range and get a SOT 2.

Here in MA I can't even own an Uberti 1872 Open Top revolver, because it's not on the "MA compliant" list.

Phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range...

To the best of my knowledge, the only impediment I have to owning what I want is a financial one.

Well, look at all the old ladies you haven't beaten up because of not having that gun!
The laws are working!

oh the things I would buy/make/convert/have in general if there were no restrictions.
several select fire rifles, one in particular would be a 10/22 and always wanted a bar as well
smooth bore 410 revolver
rocket launcher
short barreled 12gauges
several suppressors
not to say I absolutely cant have these items, its just not worth the money, time and hoops I would have to jump through for the BATF. Because of their manufacturing laws and other restrictions they have priced most of those far beyond my reach.

Money is a limiting factor for me... A full auto would be 'cool' but would be dumb to own in reality... so in essence, living in Kansas: none.

If i start grasping, I guess I can think of one... there's no real reason the SPAS12 should be banned in the USA, considering the abundance of other semi-auto shotguns... It's one sexy beast:

Like I said though, grasping... but pretty much I'm a happy camper.

RPK
RPD
PKM
VSS
a russain SVD that hasnt been "fixed" with cheap parts
PPSH41
MP38
MP40
MG34
M3 grease gun
sten gun
bren gun
Wel-rod pistol
a liberator pistol that didnt cost about 100 times its worth
glock 18
m92 full autop varient
and i saved the best for last, a kris 45acp submachine gun

all of theese would be nice to have, but originals are expensive/unavailable, and new copies are not allowed in the states for private use

id also like a single shot 12ga, shortened to about 16inches overall, but the state of INDIANA strictly prohibits them for private use

I wanted a gun to commit a murder. But there are gun laws against me getting one. I guess I cannot murder anyone. Chalk the gun laws up to saving a life.

That was sarcasm for those who are flying off the deep end right about now.

Not paying 30,000$ for an MP5K would be nice. What's law enforcement price, a grand ? That makes me sick. That inequality needs to go.

There are thousands of Lend-Lease U.S. WWII full-auto guns -- including Thompsons -- in former Yugoslavia and other parts of the Eastern bloc. Can't be reimported because of the GCA '68, FOPA '86, and State Department regulations.

A M1A2 Abrams Tank qualify? Heck son, I live in Texas if I have to do the paperwork to own something I don't believe I'm too limited unless ya count a flamethrower.

Prolly nothing.
I'm all for law abiding citizens to be able to own anything they wish, but everything I'm into is easily and legally aquired. Yeah, full auto would be super fun, but for what they cost, I wouldn't buy one even if I could. That's just me.
