What gun or guns do gun laws keep you from having?

Aside from MGs not in the registry, and guns which cannot be imported, federal laws do not prevent any law abiding citizen from owning any gun.

Given the wide variety of registered MGs available, and the huge diversity of firearms that aren't import-restricted there really isn't an issue.

Bull.

New designs are almost entirely unattainable, and raising the cost through an artificial manipulation is an infringement anyway.
And who can I market my new gun to with such silly restrictions? I'm going to scoop Taurus and produce an submachinegun that shoots NAA mini-revolvers instead of bullets ... but since it would fire five rounds per hammer drop (who knows how many per trigger pull, the mathing gets hard!) the BATFE says I can't make them and sell them to all our friends and neighbors. Imagine it, you could have a little portable NAA mini-revolver launcher for EDC and a big Python launching MG for home defense, now that's knockdown power!

Once I figure out how to get the mini-revolvers to shoot while in flight I'm selling the concept to Taurus, they can call it "the Judge and Jurors"

Magnificent! Have you considered a career in engineering?

1. I have passed up numerous interstate handgun purchases because of the added costs due to shipping and FFL transfer. The costs are not an obstacle for FTF in-state handgun purchases. What's wrong with this picture?
2. I have passed on Saiga shotguns in 12ga and .410bore due to 922r which greatly increases the effective cost of these guns if they are to be used with higher capacity magazines. Not to mention the currently inflated purchase price due to proposed bans on such guns.
3. I would have a short-barrel shotgun and perhaps a suppressed handgun, if not for the price tag of the NFA stamps.

Apparently, gun control via economic pressure works at some level.

Further, I probably will not renew a non-resident CWP for which I initially paid $15 and has been raised to $100.

Also, there are numerous enthusiasts who refuse to buy guns having internal locks, mag locks, etc.

Could any of this be construed as 2A infringement?

I'd love to move to the design side, actually.

On further thought, the NAA mini projectiles will probably have to be fired from a very large revolver, in sabots.
I still think Taurus would put it on the table at the SHOT show ... then we could endlessly debate the advantages of loading the mini-revolvers with Stingers or Velocitors ... or the benefits of using the slower, heavier Pug or the lighter faster basic NAA mini.

oneounceload, maybe a SBR/stocked pistol/SBS/supressor would be more affordable if there werent needless taxes on it.

Sometimes it's not the law, but the manufacturer. I'd like to own an Aimpoint CEU, but they are very serious about only allowing their dealers to sell them to the military and law enforcement.

I'd love a Thompson submachine gun, or an MP-5K. But to be fair, those are more limited to me because of price than because of laws. They could be fully legal and there's still no way I'd be able to get one.

Almost everything. Seems like every gun I look at is not on the "California Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale." Trust me, the shorter answer is "What handguns can I own?"

As far a long rifles and shotguns, the 18" barrel law keeps me away from some fun toys.

There are a few things that can no longer be imported that I'd like to have, but not enough to pay the going rate for one of the (used) examples already in-country. I'm far more limited by money than I am by law, as PA isn't a restrictive state.

If it wasn't for a combination of the 34 NFA, 68 GCA, and 86 Hughes I probably could have gotten a real AKS-74U (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AK74#AKS-74U) for less than I paid for a CAI AK-74. The AKS-74U looks a lot cooler and would probably be a lot more fun to shoot.

Something else I'd love to own but can't afford due to the 3 aforementioned laws is a M4A1 lower. I've seen 22LR uppers that can stand up to auto for $600 or less online and I'd imagine I could get the M4A1 lower for $300 or less off the surplus market if it wasn't for those laws.

Heck, I'd probably have been able to get a somewhat used, real Sig SG 550 for less than I paid for a Sig 556 if it wasn't for import restrictions.
