Have you ever sold a gun and later bought the same gun or same model again because you missed it so much? Have you ever bought another identical gun even though you had one already?

I had several guns that I didn't know how good they were until they were gone. S&W 586, I recently decided to buy one to replace the one I sold. Star BM, I got one and liked it so much that I bought another one. S&W 36, these just seem to appear and I have to buy them.;) Ruger Speed Six, these are good, solid guns.

I re-bought a Glock 23. Don't know what possessed me to sell the first one I owned. Go figure. :D

I bought a Glock years after selling the first one, sure am glad too, what a gun!!
I just this weekend bought the third Model 19 357 mag so far after selling the first two years ago.
I had 5 identical 1911's at one time, sold them all and bought a P14.
I had all wheel guns at one point, but just bought the first 2 I have owned in over 3 years in the last two weeks.

I used to have quantity in my gun collection. Now I want quality, and have picked up some fantastic guns lately. I am buying the "never gonna sell" guns these days.

I have "serially owned" several different guns: G23, G33, P7M8, P-228, Jetfire, Browning BDM, various others...

I think many people have probably bought another of the same model they may have previously sold. I know I have.

But I did re-purchase a Browning Hi-Power which I had traded back to the delaer I had bought it from. He said he was going to keep it but about two years later it was back on the shelf.

Yeah ... guess i have ...

M-27 ...... ''rebought'' a M27-2.

Browning HP ....... ''rebought'' BHP Practical

Ruger RedHawk ...... ''rebought'' Super Redhawk.

In each case was fortunate enough (well, for me anyways) .. to finish up with better than predecessors.:)

A Colt Python, 6" blue, early model. Also a Model 29, and now looking into "re-buying" a Model 25.

Would be a lot easier if I hadn't sold them 10 years ago...

PS: Still thinking about "re-buying" a Grizzly 45 Win Mag if I can find a nice used one again.

Had a CZ-75B 9mm stolen and replaced it with one exactly like it. The police recovered it so I used it for a trade-in. I sold a nickle S&W model 29 15 years ago and "replaced" it with a blued one a few years ago. I plan on replacing a Python I stupidly sold years ago as soon as I come across a nice one.

I just went out and bought the latest Gun List today. Imight even subscribe.

I AM gonna find another affordable 3" S&W M29 to replace the one I stupidly sold in 1999. :banghead: :banghead:

Laugh if you will, but I keep winding up with at least one Beretta 92FS in the safe. I am on my fourth one. I always keep one hi cap around and this one is the one that keeps coming back after every bout of caliber madness that sees me getting rid of the 9mm. Cheap mags and flawless reliability seems hard to cure.

I think I'll take a hint and keep at least this one around.

I have two young sons who like to go out with me to the range on occasion so I consider multiples a must. We have 2 Ruger 10/22s and need at least one more. We have 3 Ruger MKIIs with the 5 1/2" bull barrels and adjustable sights. We also have 2 Beretta 92FS'. Wouldn't mind a few S&W 686s or a few more 1911s either.

Several...

Glock 26's, bought two of them, just never could get used to that grip angle. Then bought a 30, somehow thinking I would like it better. Dad likes it. Dandy guns, but not for me.

Keltec P-11's, bought one, loved it, fell for the hype from people saying it was a POS, bought the first Glock 26 from above, hated it, then bought a new P-11. Sold it when I decided I liked wheelguns better.

Marlin/Glenfield mod 60's, IIRC I've had 7 of them, given away at least 4, have 2 in the closet right now.I know, that's only 6, but I remember buying 7, just can't remember what I did with the 7th. Great rifle to introduce people to shooting with, and I can buy them all day for $50. Small price to pay to bring another into the fold.

We won't even get into my C&R stuff, it don't count.

In the process of rebuying another, kinda. The gun I regret selling the most was a Mitchell Sportking, and now I have a Trophy II on layaway. Not exactly the same model, but close.

Ohhhhh, boy!

Well, lost a few guns in a fire in 78.....a Remington 870 was one....
replaced it within a few months, that was Alaska and it was most comforting having several Brenneke slugs at your disposal......one of my favorite guns!! Hard to beat that Bass Trombone!
Bought one Glock 30 in Florida, thought it too fat for CCW-sold it....bought another one three years later...and, guess what, it was still fat!(DUH!) And the grip angle just was not right for me. Sold the second one too!
Went through an entire string of S&W Jay frames in the last 25 years....kept trying to find something better for pocket and BUG....no such luck...guess I'll keep this one!
Bought lots of 1911's...not to replace, but to add too the collection. Parted with many, but more will follow.
Had a High Standard 'Survivor pack' Hard chromed bull barrel .22 auto, one of the most accurate guns I have ever shot...love to replace that!
A Beretta M70's .22 was a lovely kit gun....but hard to find now!
Oh, well.....the lessons of life!!
