What handguns have you re-bought?

Ruger KP89DC (on my third...)
Ruger MkII Govt (had two and finally settled on a Ruger 22/45)
Beretta 92FS (had two and finally settled on a 92G Elite II)

Bulgarian SA-93

1. I bought a Beretta 92FS and loved it. Just couldn't find a way to carry it that worked for all occasions. Sold it regretfully.

2. Repeated #1 about a year later.

3 Repeated #1 about a year later.

No kidding. Had 3 Beretta 92FS's and sold all 3.

Finally came across a 92FS Compact and have had and carried it for over 5 years.

Believe it or not, I "rebought" a Sigma.
Also rebought a CZ-75, a Beretta 96, Glock 21, an S&W Bodyguard (38 then a 49) and very much regret selling my S&W 686 so I'm looking to buy a replacement when the right one comes along.

I rebought a standard grip Ruger Vaquero (in .45 Colt). I sold it, then bought another about 2 years later. I then bought another Vaquero in .45 Colt, but it was a Birdshead. I just sold the standard grip Vaquero that I rebought because I like the Birdshead so much better. I might get another Birdshead so that I have a brace of 'em.

Maybe this might get through to Edward, a little later

My first Redhawk was stolen and we replaced it.:(

I'd like to replace the Winchester 9422M that I had as a young'un.

Greetings Sir,

I happened to run across this when researching values for a 9422M I have for sale. It is about a 98% gun, with an older Weaver V7, 2.5x7, 32mm. I bought it new in about 1994. Only fired about 2/3 box of shells.
Any chance you are still looking to replace the one you had? I happen to live in the area as well, up in Black Forest. I'm listed on Bar X Road.

Thanks for your time and consideration here.

I sold and bought the *SAME* Colt Police Positive Special three times. And yes, I did sell it a fourth time like an idiot. One day it will drift back to me.

I've bought and sold about half a dozen Model 36's of various description over the years, but was never quite happy with them. I've now settled on an SP101 instead.

I'd snatch up a Sig P-225 again if I can ever find one in good condition.

I keep buying and selling USPs because I'm crazy. I currently have a USP .45 and I'm attending HBSA meetings (handgun buyer-sellers anonymous) to convince myself to hold onto this one.

I also bought a Sig P229 in .40 after previously owning one in 9mm, but I find myself thinking maybe I liked the P239 better...

Maybe we should form a HBSA.

A Tanfoglio Witness in 10mm (that had been stolen, so I bought another one.)

An H&R Model 732 w/a 2 1/2" barrel and a "bird's head" butt. I sold the one that I had secretly carried in 'tha "hood"' as an 'unarmed' (heh-heh) Security Officer. (Hey, it was MY a$$ on the line! :fire: Nobody was going to protect MY backside out there! Besides, EVERYBODY knows that 'happiness is a warm gun!') ;)

None. The only handguns I've gotten rid of are ones that really, really needed to be gotten rid of, and I have no desire to aquire another copy of.

I bought another second generation G17, but I didnt miss the old one.

I traded my first one in on a Kahr PM9 and never looked back. I thought about replacing it a time or two just to have a little more variety (as far as pistols went, I had several 1911s, a Kahr, and a Taurus M85 - pretty much what I have now, but with a 1911 or two more and a G17), but never seriously considered it.

Then the ban died.

Shortly after 33 rounders were a stocked item at the range/store I frequent, and the owner also had a second-generation G17 that could be had for just under $400 OTD. It found its way to my house, with two 33 round magazines...

If not for the huge magazines, I might still be thinking of replacing it, but not with serious consideration.

Ironicly, I'm now considering a G26. Not too seriously, but if one comes along for the right price...

Most of us have sold or traded a gun We wish we had back
Mine was a colt six shooter and a colt 1911
replaced the 1911 but still looking for the other

Oh man, I have to think back on 38 years worth of buying and trading.

I can only think of two guns I sold and got back. A Remington Model 30 rifle and a Colt 1911.

I had a bunch of guns stolen almost 20 years ago and replaced most of them with the same pieces.

Guns I sold and later bought the same model, again?

4" Python
Model 18
Model 39
Model 58
Model 25
.30 Carbine Blackhawk (sold again)
P38 (sold again, then bought again)

Guns I have mated into pairs?

3.5" M27 (3)
5" M27 (3)
Python
Diamondback
Colt Officers Model Target
Single Action Army revolvers blued
Single Action Army revolvers nickeled
5" 1950 Targets
1911 (4)

I know I'm forgetting some.

Wow, embarrasing question--especially when I realize how many it is!
S&W 642
Glock 21
M1911A1
S&W 10
BHP
S&W 686
Beretta 92 F/S
Ruger Mark II
S&W Sigma

Bought a Browning Hi-Power, sold it. Bought another, sold it. Bought another and kept it.

Ditto for Ruger Security Six.

Bought Ithaca Model 37, kept it for 30 years & gave it Son-in-law. Bought another and sold it. Bought another and kept it.

Bought a S&W Model 36, sold it. Bought another, sold it and bought same one back.

Bought 4 CZ-52's. Gave away/traded 3.

Bought 5 Makarovs. Gave away 3. Kept 2.

Bought 2 Walther P-38's. Sold 1, gave away 1.

Bought 4 1911's. Gave away 2, traded 1 and kept 1.

Bought 2 Ruger Mini-14's. Traded 1, gave away one.

Bought 3 Rossi pump .22's. Traded 2, gave away 1.

Most of the guns I gave away were to my Son-in-law (active duty Navy) who treats my daughter good.

Bought a Ruger Mk I (6" bull barrel) back in the 80s doggy condition but a tackdriver. It was my favorite squirel medicine. I refurbed it shot it for a while and a new gun caught my eye (a Charter Arms AR7 pistol :barf: ) and it was traded in for it :cuss: . Fast forward to June 2005, crusing my favorite over priced gun store (Collectors) I see a famillar shape.... A Ruger Standard .22 (Mk I with semi fixed sights) with a regular 6" barrel. What really drew me to it was a price about $100 below their "normal" price for a used Ruger Mark series .22. It was in about the same condition as my first one. I checked it out thoroughly and other than some cheap plastic stag grips (they sort of suited it) and some worn blue turning to "platina" it is in very good shooting condition. I quickly put it on lay-a-way and liberated three days later. Took it to the range and ran about 100 rounds of Federal Champions through it without a bobble. I'm going to leave 'er as is for now. BTW it also shoots better than I can hold it.

Also I bought & sold 3 Rossi .38s (5 shot/3 inch) before I wised up :banghead: .

I sold a Kahr MK40 Elite 98 because I just had to have an AR-15.

Well the AR sat in the closet a lot and I CCW 24/7 so I realised the error of my ways and traded the AR for an MK9 Elite 98.

Yeah, I miss the AR a little bit, but since I actually use the Kahr daily I figured it was the smarter thing to do (of course one day I'll own another AR)

Rebought
Glock 26
S&W 442
Didn't give them enough of a chance as a beginning shooter.

Rebought and resold
Kel-Tec P32 and P3AT
Never bonded with them. Wish I could 'cause I like the idea of those tiny guns.

Ruger Mini 14

HK P7
S&W 469

not to say that I haven't re-sold some of thoise that I re-bought...
and I might re-re-buy some of them...

I traded a Hi Power Capitan last year. Stupidest thing I ever did. I purchased a Standard recently to make up the loss.

I sold, then re-purchased a Beretta 92FS. The 2nd one may go however because it's just too large to carry.

I own two HK USP 9's.

Sold a stainless Ruger Super Single Six. Four years later, bought the same model.

Had a Sig 220 9mm (European style) in the 80s. Sold it. In the last 2 years I bought a 226 and then a 228. Still wish I had that old 220 back, though.
